So I have always loved Sky Trek Tower, its always the first and last ride I go on when I'm visiting the park. The music playing during the narration has been subject to many threads here on SFGam world. Some say that it is a clip from the front gate music, others say that its a medley of Looney Tunes themes. Well, decide for yourself. Recently, SFGAm's Youtube Channel has released a video ride through of STT, along with the narration track. I went ahead and removed the narration and tried to clean it up a little, so now everyone can hear the mysterious song.
It's so quiet. I'm not sure why its so quiet, but there is no way I can listen to this with my other park music because of the massive volume difference.
^ I believe it's because the audio was stripped.....if anything, this was recorded from the spiel on the ride and they went home and modified the sound. So the "quieter" parts of the music is where there is actually narration in the ride spiel.
^ SFGAm posted a video on the STT experience. It was not a recording that was done on the ride. The reason it's somewhat quiet at times is because he stripped the commentary from it. Over all, I'm pleased!
Sfgam1 is right. Six Flag's youtube posted a studio recording of the narration, and I used Audacity's "karaoke" function to strip out the narration to get just the music. Some parts are quiet because that is when the narrator is talking the most, and the program gets rid of some of the music too. I'm glad you all like it !
A little update on the music used in the medley. Someone on facebook tracked down the exact songs that are featured in the clip. He says, "It's known as the Looney Tunes Medley with songs: I tawt I taw a puddy tat, Daffy's Rhapsody, Merrily We Roll along, The Road Runner Show theme song and the Looney Tunes Merry Go Round broke down. It is one of the original Marriott Tracks."
Listening to "I tawt I taw a puddy cat" It is obvius that this person is right! Thanks Ted!
I do believe the medley goes as: I tawt I taw a puddy tat, What's Up Doc, Road Runner theme, Daffy's Rhapsody, Merrie Melodies, and Looney Tunes themes.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
When they used to have the Theater Royale Looney Tunes shows, they used to play this music before the show. Also, isn't that music on the train?
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
