Season Pass Processing

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Did anyone else have difficulties in processing their season passes today, I did not have any technical issues, but the park staff was generally uninformed. I found myself being re-directed to the wrong lines by park staff on more than one occasion. I have been a season pass holder for quite some time, so I am familiar with how it works, but all the huge lines had absolute minimal signage. Apparently no-one had a clue about the dining pass, either.

Yeah, I had the same thoughts. I was about to wait in the extremely long season pass processing line but I was told Xtreme passes were only being processed in the front Guest Relations room and many there did not know the process to process season passes + extreme upgrade + parking. Maybe some additional training before your first day.

Renewed my pass last season at Fright Fest and I didn't want to add anything to it for this season. I was glad I did, those lines looked insane.

I too would have liked to process my pass last year, but didn't have a chance to go to Fright Fest. I will not make that mistake again.

For all the raggin I do on big parks, today made me think about getting my Cedar Fair season pass last year.

At Carowinds - they had a HUGE pavilion set up with all these tables and stations... you could tell they were VERY prepared for crowds. At some point, it would be nice to see that at Great America. It was a freaking mess... lines everywhere criss-crossing, clueless people and employees giving all sorts of instructions...

Once we got the right information, it went pretty fast. It took 30 minutes to upgrade our Season Passes to Xtreme and add the Meal pass to them, but other then that I can't generally complain.

The guy giving us an extra set of exit passes didn't hurt.

Here some tips from today:

Already have a Season Pass and adding Meal Pass, Parking or Upgrade to Xtreme Pass?

Go to Customer Service inside the park. be prepared to wait a bit, but you will get taken care of.

Where do I pick up my Meal Pass vouchers?

Go right next to trolley Treats, and you will see a big sign with the Hamburger logo.

Where do I get my Xtreme (Fill in the blank)?

OUTSIDE the Park, go to Window 6 in Customer Service and you will get what you need.

Hope the info helps

I went yesterday to get my meal pass put on my season pass and it was a nightmare. They sent me all over and it was until I went to where you get your meal vouchers that i was told they could not add dinning to my season pass that I got last October because there was a glitch in the system that day. The girl was nice enough to give me the vouchers though. I guess I will try going to customer service next time like you mentioned.

Waited over a hour to upgrade my season pass purchased at FF. I have been a season pass holder for the last 7 years and this was the busiest I have ever seen. If X - Flight is making the park this busy on opening day I'm dreading seeing what July will be like!

I'm guessing $20 tickets had A LOT more to do with it than X Flight

Maybe the season pass lines were the park's way of prepping us for the huge lines that X-flight will most likely bring, in the next few months... :D I will have to say that once I was finally in the right line...for the second time...it moved pretty fast. I was re-directed from the correct line to the wrong line by this older lady ( I think it may have been Mrs. Six), and only found out it was incorrect by chance. I will have to say as I got closer to the Pass Processing Center, the staff seemed to have more of a clue as to what was going on. Once in to the PPC things moved very fast...except for when a guy tried the excuse he wasn't cutting in line ...he just wanted to get a slice of pizza. It was pretty obvious to me and the other 1000+ people in line that the pizza place was not open. Nice try though
