Greatamerica2003 - Davey Jones Dinghies was removed in 1982 and Traffique Jam was removed in 1983. Six Flags took over towards the end of the 1984 season.

Even though I was not alive when Marriott owned the park Im basing my opinions on their history. Major roller coasters would have been added like Chitown said previously but plenty of family rides would have been added as well. There would be more themeing as previously mentioned. Park operations and friendliness would be a lot better. Food would be restaurant quality. A lot more effort would be put into the shows. Im not sure that a halloween event would have started as early. I think the park would receive golden tickets for best park, best food, and friendliest park.

/\ It should win golden ticket in some of those categories today. Even if Mariott still owned it, it wouldnt win because there are too many CP fanboys. I think next year, dont let CP fanboys vote, only non-biased voters, and we'll see who actually would win (I know that will never happen). I know it wouldnt be SFGAm nor CP for best amusement park, but SFGAm should be considered in the top 10 at least.

I'm sure it would cost more for tickets and season passes. There would be more entertainment too. The Pictorium would probably be showing something neat, or would have been converted into a 4D theater.
A hotel would likely have been built. Perhaps Marriotts would have built the waterpark across the tollway.
What would have become of the Wilderness theater? I'm guessing there would still be some kind of show going on.
Anybody have any new things to add?

i miss tidal wave... it was my second looping coaster...(first was jet scream six flags st louis.) who knows what would of happened but is a nice topic to roll the dice in.

If Marriot still owned Great America, the food would be Golden Ticket-worthy, all live shows in Grand Music Hall, Wilderness Theater, and Theatre Royale (that would've been kept), Great Southwest would've eventually been built, and a hotel. That's my logic.
