American Eagle Two Coasters or One

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

well in my opinion it has to be one because the "whole" ride is called american eagle so if it was two there would be two separte names.

I consider it one coaster, there are just two different ways to experience it. You could argue your points forever, but it'll still just be a matter of opinion.

Now what would you say if I asked is Superman the Escape 1 or 2 coasters? Is B&R: The chiller 1 or 2 coasters? And its very strange... On YCP they mostly think it's one but on here its mostly thought of as two. Strange indeed. And it could operate if one was torn down. Find some AE construction pics and you'll see the tiny space between the two tracks. Its hard to see from far away and when your on it.

in my opinion name has nothing to do with it. If you called it Amerian Eagle And Iraqi Hawk we'd still be having this argument. And I was bored enough to email Intamin, I need to own a park to talk to them. Jeez go figure!

Red Forwards- 1 coaster.
Blue Backwards - 1 coaster.
1+1=2.

Not for the whole ride. Take a look at construction pics. There IS a SPACE between the TWO tracks

If you can run either side independantly from one another than I think it should be considered two coasters. And in AE's case, they can so I think that it is two coasters.
My Top 5: 1)TTD, 2)Millennium Force, 3)Raptor, 4)Deja Vu, 5)Raging Bull

They are 2 different rides, Red Forwards and Blue Backwards, and SFGAm can count it as 2. They don't have interchangable stations so each track has it's own operating system.

May I take a look at these construction pictures, because I don't believe for one second that there is a gap between the whole structure.
