why does great american raceway only run one lane? I have been wondering this for a very long time and couldn't think of one good reason. they have enough cars thats for sure. it's not like the track could go bad. and why dont they change the name to something like great american automobiles? if they ran both lanes they could get twice the amount of people at a time. also how muck gas does one car take because with the rising gas prices they might have to take this ride out.

Lack of popularity would be my guess, or it's more expensive to operate than we think it is.

Staffing; they need more operators that they don't have to be able to run 2 lanes.

Occasionally they will run the inside lane when work is being done on the outside lane.

I can think of two main reasons. One is staffing, and the other is more gasoline for more cars.

I go to Six Flags every weekend and some days during the week. I have never seen the outside lane closed and the middle open. :( Out of all the timed this year. Last time I rode the middle was back in 1998, I got a video of it.
