Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

For those who have atteneded the event this year, is SFGAM enforcing a policy where they wont let you leave and get a hand stamp and re-enter the park???? If they are what time iis it??

Just curious in case we need to go back to the car later in the evening on Fri. for warmer clothing.

Fright Fest re-entry is the same as it was last year. There are no hand-stamps. Instead, those that need to leave and re-enter will be given a wristband and must re-enter before 7:00pm.

You can always just go to guest relations and say you need to get medicine or whatever if you want to leave for food. Although I think we only had 15 mins to re enter with the slip. And we barely made it back.

Why is it more severe for re-admission during Fright Fest? usually, you can come back whenever right? Here you have 15 minutes? Why before 7 P.M.? This will be my first trip during October.

15 mins ONLY if you wait in line for guest relations, tell them why, write out a form, ect.

15 minutes would be more than enough time, if I would go back to the car it would only be too change out of shorts into pants or get a sweatshirt for the kids.

I think the reason why they stopped the re-entry thing was because of under ages drinking. Kids go to Fright Fest, they get stupid, and do stupid things...but you can drink any time of the day, why after 7?

It has to a be a money thing to. If you are in the park at 8 and it gets really cold you have 2 choices: Leave or buy a sweatshirt. Same goes with food and such.

^ well, there is always a third choice, which is deal with the cold! I know that is what I would do if it was 8 PM and the park was open till 10 or 11. I would just stick it out instead of leaving, or spending $$ on a sweatshirt.

How about actually bringing warm clothes with you? It won't kill anyone to wear a sweater or light jacket on them during the month of October.

I think the 7 pm cut off time is to cut the crowd at the end of the night, I think, even though I left the park at 7 pm there was still alot of cars.

Im sure the 7:00 pm time is made to force people who are hungry to eat in the park, and not get warmer clothes from the car, or force one to rent a locker.

Is everything a conspiracy with you Bob?

Don't you think that the park would enact this no re-admission policy throughout the whole season if it was for the reasons you state?
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Wasn't the re-entry policy 3 hours before close during the season?

^It was only a hour before they close. Why, the hour? It's probably to save money on workers. They won't let you in past 7:00 pm because in my opinion, it gets more crowded towards night because things are more haunted and scary.

Why don't they care during the regular season except for a hour? My opinion is that people like to leave at night whereas Fright Fest, people like to stay the whole night.

It's gotta be a crowd control issue. Having primarily out only after 7pm realy allows the traffic to flow better through the main gates. Everything seemed to be running pretty smooth on Saturday.

I still don't get why they'd use a wristband over a stamp though. They hardly even looked at the wristbands as we re-entered, and even though they had barcodes on them, the two times we re-entered the attendant just swiped his/her armband instead of ours. I could have easily cut my band and gave it to someone else to tape on and they never would have noticed. Hand stamps on the other hand, would be impossible to transfer.
