Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

It would be very expensive and where do you plan to dig and underground parking lot. The footers of the rides would be a challenging obstacle to work around.

They wouldn't build an underground parking lot. If they got a new parking facility (which they aren't) it would be a parking garage.

I think the most logical Idea is to build a resort accross the street with a giant indoor water park.

No, its not never if they dont build next year. They would just have to start over again going before the Gurnee board. Not really a big deal in the grand scheme of things.Personally, if they wanted to construct a Hurricane Harbor (because you know thats what the waterpark would be called), they could easily fit it in the parking area where the buses park. With the Washington st. access road now closed off, it would make sense to have the waterpark connected to the main park.

thats a good idea, but one of the security people told me the washington st entrance is only closed off this year because of construction, so if they do put the waterpark there, they'd permanently have to block that entrace off and the school buses ans cta buses would have to go in the grand ave. entrance and cause more traffic there.. :)

Construction? What construction?I think that security guard was feeding you a line of B.S. I walked over to the other side of Eagle to snap some shots a few weeks ago, and no construction of any kind is going on. My belief is they dont want to deal with the access road anymore. They also dont have to add headcount for that side to man the tollbooth. No vehicles can access from Washington anymore. Even the Pace and school buses. Everyone comes in from Grand Ave.

The road is under construction. It has been 2 lanes (I believe its normally 4) most of this season. Ride AE blue and laugh at the people stuck in traffic. Its fun! :D . I think that is the construction the security guy was talking about.

Oh, my bad. I thought she meant construction on park property.

There is no use for any parking ramp. There is no use for a new parking lot. Here are my reasons:1.) A ramped parking lot is a hassle. To make the most of a lot like this, guests would most likely fill the lot from the top floor all they way to the bottom. This helps avoid confusion and people wasting park time to find a spot. So if you were placed close to the top, you would be the first ones in, and the last ones out. Going out would be even worse becuase not all people will be getting out at the same time, so at some point you will sit waiting as people a level or so down are trying to also back out and exit. Do you kind of understand what I am saying.2.) There is no need for a whole new lot. They have so much lot already, that all they need to do is fix up the lot to the right of the parking booth and rip up much of the lot that is closer to the park for expansion.
