It annoys me that people keep complaining that there will only be new scenery because of the fact that they don't see many new flats in the screenshots. I'm not worried about it at all, I know there will be much more than just scenery. We will just have to wait for more screenshots to be released.
Looking at those Amazon screen shots, it looks like there is a themed enterprise, and a themed corkscrew car. I hope that doesnt end up like the early RCT2 screen shots that showed the magic carpet, and it turned out to be the only new flat besides the themed scrambler...
I know people are gonna flame me for this but, how much scenery does the game really need?! Seriously, I really think a new main focus should be on flat rides. I mean scenery is great, but right now, the game can't even allow all the scenery at once, so what good is it when you can't mix and match with the right scenery? I don't know I can't really give a good opinion with those screen shots, but I doubt I'll buy this expansion unless there are a lot more rides.
I know what you're saying. It really annoys me how I'm limited on what scenery I can use. Many go together, like wild west and mining, and the water and pirate. However, instead of taking up 1 slot, you have to use 2 to get both, when they should be in the same group. And then there is the ocassional thing where you can't even select the maximum because of how many objects are in each scenery set... I'm with you, I won't be buying it unless there are a lot of flat rides. Coasters I could care less about, tilt, rocket, and maybe a sezimic, even though one isn't built yet, are all they can really add.
That doesn't seem too far away. Wow, the beginning of May is so close. Maybe it doesn't seem like it's far away and the other RCT2 has been out long because I just got it for Christmas. Now, when was that originally released?
I agree with you T_Biggs, im not buying this game unless it has alot of flats. I could care less about scenery, theres so much right now we can't even use it all. Im not going to jump and go out and buy it the week before it comes out like I did last time, im going to wait a few weeks and read some reviews about the rides before I spend my 20 or so dollars.
Here are some screenshots.Note from mod: All of these can be seen in the first linked page, so you don't need to repost every single image as it's own link.
Thanks for the screenshots. But I think I agree with almost everyone else. I'm not going to rush out and pour money into the game when all that is new is some theming. I'll see what everyone thinks of it, and how many new rides, especially flats it features.
I really do think there will be alot of flats! My reason for this is because this year was the year of the flats if you think about it! If a SF park wasnt getting a Roller coaster, then they were getting a flat.
It's not how high or how fast you build the roller coaster it's how smooth you build it!
What parks were also getting flats? I can only think of a few, no SF parks I will be visiting however. That is a good point though if they are still incorporating in the Six Flags worlds.
