hey everybody, I'm new to the boards, but I've been reading for a while now.

anyway, I came across some new screens this morning. just thought you'd like to check them out. the article is good too. it basically says that the game is staying true to rct, but the 3d aspect is interesting.

Welcome to the forums SFGA Bob and thanks for the screens.

This game is begining to look worse and worse the more screens are released. These latest ones look like something from the Simpsons Blockoland.

Also to me this looks like a new flat: Here
Looks like a Top Scan. Could it be? New Rides in RCT...we haven't seen that since Loopy Landscapes.

only Atari published games that I believe are "fun" is the Unreal games. Like UT2k4, and 2003 even the first UnrealTournament game was fun. Frontier Developments Ltd is making the game. They made the RCT2 expansions and xbox rct. Not to ruin anyones hopes and dreams ;) but I wouldn't get to excited just yet.

Unreal Tournament 2004 is an awesome game!

Anyways, I think from the screens shown to us, the game looks like its going to suck. :(
Eh, what's up?

The Greatest RCT game ever would have:

-All the six flags parks including all the superhero rides there.
-A building system that is what it is now
-Stairs on the lift hill of each ride
-3d riding expirence

I hope it has all these features!

since I couldn't find another thread more suited to what I need than this one, here goes:

Gamespy has a new preview up. they got a pre-release version of the game. everything sounds like its on track (no pun intended). they have some new screenshots with the article and they show off what could very well be the final UI. check it out. also, if you look at the other screens, they have some nice shots of the paths, including how the paths will connect to the rides (in earlier screens, there was just an entrance/exit and then ground).
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

It looks cool. When does it come out, and i really hope they dont turn it into something like sim themepark or something. I do not like change, but i will get used to it.

November 04 is the expected release date. supposidly its supposed to be exactly like RCT, except with a 3D engine. it sounds like they're taking the scenarios in a different direction, but that's about the only change.

I love the RCT series but I'm not really that excited for this next one because it looks exactly like Sims Coaster and Sims Theme Park.

Yes I agree those expansion packs are crap.

check out the videos on this page. it shows in game footage. I never played Sims Coaster, but the videos make it look exactly like RCT 1&2, but in 3D. you plop things down just the same. the land tool looks like the teraformer in NL and I'm loving it. the path tool looks a little tough to control, but that's hard to tell with someone else controlling the mouse. the placement for rides looks a bit more like standard stragety games where you get a fully 3D shadow version of the structure that is red in places were it can't fit and blue in places where it can, but that's to be expected.

Those poorly done videos do not give you the full 3d aspect. At least the over-banked turn looked realistic enough to me.

I Dunno if anyones mentioned this, but I was looking at some new screenshots, and i noticed four new rides. Turbo Bungy, Double Inverter, Condor, and Indoor Teacups. In this one Shot i noticed a werid round plaza thingy. I have no idea what it is, anyone have a clue?
