I am making this easy as I am repeating myself from my post at the Atari Forums.
This we all thought was not possible as the train always stops in the station and will not go up the back spike. Well we thought anyway. Here is the trick, which really is not a trick in itself. In the control panel for the ride where you set the waiting time and what not, make sure you have the ride set to powered launch mode and set it for 2 circuits. The train will make a complete circuit including using the back spike then coming forward and stopping in the station. So really it is not a true 2 circuits, it is the games way of utilizing the back spike.
This is also true if you are using the impluse coaster, if you want it to work identically to the real ones, you would set it to 6 circuits.
I hope that this will help many people as I was dissappointed thinking that this option was taken away from RCT 2.
