Killing Some Time June 12

Let us know how your day at the park was.

I went to Disneyland Park earlier tonight to pass some time and watch Fantasmic. Other people had the same idea.

Image
This picture was taken at 6PM, this is the crowd waiting for the 9PM show.

Image
Not liking the way that looked I walked through Adventureland to get a dole whip. At least the paths werent crowded.

Image
The line to buy a dole whip stretched pretty far down. Think ill get a corndog instead.

Image
...or maybe not (its scary how much money these little carts make).

Image
So I walked around a bit.

Image
People were lined up at 6:15 to watch the 9:30 firework show.

Image
New Orleans had circular flow going, 1 way traffic.

There were friends that were front and center at the lagoon so I ended up seeing Fantasmic from the best spot, and after it ended sat there and watched the fireworks and both were awesome. After the show ended people had already started lining up in hordes for the 2nd Fantasmic show of the night. Yay for summer.

Thanks for the report...it reminds me to never go there in mid-June. We went back in '07, around this time, and the mass of humanity there was scary. You feel cramped in everywhere you go, and its just not fun.

The packed streets is how it is pretty much every day. Its very rare to ever walk through New Orleans or Adventureland without packed streets. Ive seen Indy have 5 greeters before (and it needed it). Last night the park closed when the fireworks ended and it took over a half hour of literally wall to wall people walking down main street and everyone exiting from Adventureland/Frontierland were shoehorned through the backstage area next to main street to exit the park. Thats how it is every night though, its not even peak vacation time yet.
