SFGAm: May 2, May 16

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on May 17th, 2009, 12:43 pm
So I never posted a TR for May 2. I'll try my best to remember what I rode...

Bull - 1
BTR - 1
TDK - 1
SUF - 1
Viper - 1
Giant Drop - 1
Rue Le Dodge - 1
Whizzer - 1
GAR - 1
Spacely's - 1

Can't remember any others. Sheesh, it's been too long. Some rides, our friends went on but I didn't get the chance to ride, like Whirligig, Demon, Ricochet. Also, it is noteworthy that when we went to BTR, all our friends got on before me and Jason did. When their train started to dispatch, it stopped. It was stuck there for about 10 minutes. After it got going again, they tested it once, and then we were finally able to get on. When we got off, our friends told us that they had exit passes. I could hardly believe it. They had exit passes and we didn't. Plus, the breakdown wasn't even that long. Ah well. It was a bit of an annoying day and I hoped that our next trip with these friends and more on May 16th would be better. Definitely wasn't!

May 16th - Wow, what an eventful day this was. We started off by picking up Timmy and Brian, and then Stefani, then we were off. When we got to Gurnee, we went to Burger King for breakfast. As we were trying to turn left into the parking lot of BK, the guy in front of us was turning very unnecessarily SLOW! Once Jason could escape from being behind this person, he decided to go and park by the curb, but he did this too fast. He accidentally pressed down on the accelerator instead of the brake and BOOM hits the curb. I thought that something had to be broken after that. After he parked, I got out and saw the front right tire was flat. Wonderful, just wonderful. I was very, very mad at Jason. Thankfully, we had some guys with us who knew how to change a tire and whatnot. First, we decided to leave our car there at BK and just walk to Six Flags. When we were halfway there, our friend Alex calls us and tells us not to wait to change the tire and to do it now. I was pretty pissed at this point. Changing the tire took nearly an hour, as the guys could not find the right spot to put the jack. When it was all done, we could finally go into the park.

We went to meet up with our friends, and they were in line for Ragin Cajun. We decided to go ride King Chaos to pass the time. When we got off, they still had not gotten on Ragin Cajun, but they were almost there, so we waited. After they finally got off, we all went to ride Roaring Rapids. For some reason, JUST like last time on May 2, Alex decides to leave the line and then everyone else decided to leave too, and so did we. We all didn't want to get sprayed by Alex and some of the others. Now we all went on Big Easy Balloons, definitely interesting. Then, we got in line for TDK. Suddenly, some friends of ours who were going to meet up with us called and said they were at the park. So we all got out of line and went to meet them, and then went on Rue Le Dodge. There was originally 9 of us, and now there was 12. After Rue, we went on Viper. After this, we headed out to lunch. Next was the train, which we boarded at the Hometown station and got off at the other station.

At this point, some of our friends played some games, and Brian won a medium prize, and got one that I wanted and gave it to me. Stefani really wanted to go see her friend Niko who works at the park. He told us that he works at Mooseburger, but apparently later on we found out he goes from one place to another. I decided to go with her because I felt bad if I didn't. We never saw Niko at that point, so we started walking back. When she went to the bathroom, I ran over to BB to see if our friends had gone on it. They were on it, and I was so pissed off because they didn't wait for us. Stefani was really pissed too. They even stayed on it a second time. Then there was some drama as we all left the park temporarily to put things in the cars and for others to change. When we came back in, I had to run to the bathroom. Of course, only 2 people out of our group ended up waiting for me, and the others didn't even notice! We found out they were at Rue Le Dodge, so me and Jason just went on Condor, which was interesting. When it reached the top, it stopped, and then it started coming back down without spinning. They checked all the cars and sent us up again, and the ride worked fine this time.

Our friends were going to the Funnel Cake House, so me and Stefani decided to look for Niko again, no sign of him. We walked to the Funnel Cake House where our friends were, and figured they would be there for a while. Stefani decided to go back and see Niko cause he said he would be there in 10 minutes, but she asked me to go with which I didn't want to after what happened earlier. I went anyway, and we ended up seeing him, and he had to go over to the Funnel Cake House! Our friends were gone, and we had no idea where they were. I was POed to the max by now. I called Alex, who would not answer his phone for the longest time. Stefani and I decided to ride BB cause we both wanted to go on it. It was fun and cold!

Alex finally answered his phone and was being a complete jerk about it. He wouldn't tell us where they were, and then he wanted to play games with us and give us a "hint". We walked through Southwest Territory looking for them, but absolutely no luck. Stefani and I were very, very POed at them, especially Alex. Finally, he gave me another hint, about seeing trees and people and cement. I figured maybe Whizzer, so we went over there and sure enough, they were in line for Whizzer. I was so angry I thought I was going to flip. After we found them, this drama was over for good. We all then rode Demon, GAR, Iron Wolf (well, some of us did, even I did! I was in 4th row and it was not as bad as last time.). Then it was time for BTR, finally! We all got on at the same time, Jason and I rode in the 3rd row. It was freakin' awesome, so me and him rode again, thinking our friends wouldn't wait for us. But they were waiting, and for a reason: Alex lost his cell phone. It was in an area near/under the ride that couldn't be reached. He was pretty upset about this. He had to go fill out some paperwork and wefollowed just because we were tired and wanted to just rest.

After that, everyone except me, Jason, and Stefani went home. I wanted to ride Bull really bad. We went over to SWT, and Stef wanted some curly fries, so we shared them. At this point, it was very cold, so we decided not to ride Bull. I should have worn warmer clothes. Also, I was way too sore to walk much more. It was about, maybe 7:30-8:00 when we left. Also, because of the cold, my allergies started acting up and they were really bad on the way home.

It was a very irritating day for me, and for Stefani too. It was just one thing after the other.

BB - 1
BTR - 2
Wolf - 1
Demon - 1
KC - 1
BEB - 1
Rue Le Dodge - 1
Condor - 1
Viper - 1
GAR - 1
Train - 1

Yeah, it is still quite cjilly at night especially up in Gurnee. My brother rescheduled our trip to the park for this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend. Either Friday or Saturday. He knows he has Sat off so that would be it I would rather go Friday. Memorial Day Weekend is pretty busy right? Not everyone can afford to leave town? Oh I don't want to spend almost $90 again on flash passes... :?

Not to get off topic but I still don't get why people will use a flash pass on a ride that has no line and they still use it, like Batman for instance yesterday, no line at 11:00 and 5 people used a flash pass on it as I was walking in line.

On a average day in the summer the lie is to the entrance so most people think it is always a long wait

I really hate it when people use flash passes when there is a short wait too. I wish employees would just make them wait when it is that short.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Since when do ride ops allow more than 4 people in a group of handicapped riders/more than one group on a ride at a time? I was very pissed off when I saw this on Viper. These people took up half the train!! I am not kidding either. Since when in hell do they do that?
