TR - Driving Across the USA

In January I moved out to CA, thought id share a few pics.






I enjoyed driving through Nebraska. Gotta love cruisin at high speeds listening to Ozzy.








So pretty much everything from Chicago to Colorado is like this.










The factories around Denver...very enviormentally friendly.


So the Rockies are way more intense to drive through than any other mountains ive ever driven through (Ozarks, Smokies, Pennsylvania mountains). I knew they would be huge, but the magnitude really caught me offguard.

Stopped into Circus Circus for a credit run, and the entire park was down for rehab.






Everything on Stratosphere was down for temps.


One thing that surprised me is that the Stratosphere hotel is in the hood.




Speed was in its long downtime.

Went to Buffalo Bills to ride Desperado hoping to at least salvage something coaster related from Nevada. Was wondering why the hotel was so cheap, and at this time found out why. Its out in the middle of nowhere, like 1/2 hour even from Vegas.






Found it hilarious this bar counter had slot machines. You know you have major problems when...






Desperado sucked horribly. It was 10x rougher than Magnum, little to no airtime, the wheel assemblys were beaten and rough as hell, and the transitions were just horrible. By far the worst hyper coaster ive ever been on.

I dont understand the carpool lanes at all. So the left lane (or 2) is just for carpools and doesnt have nearly as much traffic, but the right 3 lanes are all bumper to bumper. So if your going to work and need to get off the highway, you can not change lanes at all because everyone behind you is going like 50 and the lane to your right is going 0 so your pretty much screwed.

Wow, if the exits are all on the right, you would be totally SCREWED trying to get your exit! What moron thought that up!
