Trespassing sign..."No walking" part cracked me up...you can't walk by the gates? I didn't know you can get that close where guests enter during the open season. I thought the main gate where you turn to the right kept everyone out is that gate even closed these days? Or is that where people who live by the park enter....not 100% sure about the surrounding areas as I always pay attention to the rides from the distance...
I watched the whole thing, do I get a prize of some sort?
Either way this needs a review.
I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more. It ranks right up there with some of the greats of Roller Coaster cinematography. It ranks right up there with the best of them like, Kings Island as shot from I-71, Six Flags Great Adventure via Monmouth Rd, and the one we all know and love The Park at Mall of America from inside it's own parking lot, with the incredible vista shot of the window where the reflection on the windows completely obscures the view of the actual park, but you just know that the directors heart was in the right place and you could feel the emotion.
This is truly a high water mark in this field.

Seriously? I hope there is a lot of sarcasm in this topic..............Nice to see the park is still there? But really, I don't see the point of making a youtube video of nothing moving, grass, locks, gates, and trespassing signs...
Next time go inside

Sorry, but some people actually like to see these types of videos to see the park after the off season. If you don't enjoy them, don't watch them.

How could we miss it. With the way it was perfectly framed by the camera...with perfect lighting. Speaking of the lighting...WOW. Obviously a lot of thought went into what time of the day he was going to film this. There aren't even any shadows, making it possible to see everything in the park!
I retract my 10 of 10 rating...and raise it to 15 of 15. Great Job!
I figured it was CGI added in professionally by ILM. After all in this era of big budget productions you really cant tell what's real and whats not anymore.
Not sure if I should change my own ranking now, could just be the water receding though I guess.

Also the dam holding back all this sarcasm wouldn't have burst if there was any point behind this. It's a video taken from outside the park of absolutely nothing. If there was something, anything notable anywhere in that video/pictures it'd be all good. For instance if they were futzing with a crane near a ride, or if you could see something new or maybe some rides testing. But it looks exactly the way it has looked for years, and we've all been inside the park and seen everything close up and operational. There is just no point what so ever of putting a video online of nothing. I know we all have probably at one time or another been in the area during the winter time, and done the same thing on our own, but rarely does anyone take extensive video footage and rush to show it to everybody on an online forum. Watching that is like watching paint dry. No offense to anyone or anything, off season is long and boring around here, but this doesn't help. The sarcasm is far more entertaining at this point

While this material was just awesome, I truly hope that a sequel is shot and posted this upcoming weekend.
Maybe you could add a few scenes from the McDonald's parking lot? You should also train your camera on the coaster track and follow the track w/ your camera as if a coaster was traveling on it. As you do that, you should scream and make other coaster noises (brakes, chain, etc.). I think that would be sweet! It would be like I'm just there!
You can shoot some deleted scenes too - like the cracks in the pavement in front of the entrance, people turning in and out of the employee parking lot, security in the park approaching you asking you wtf you're doing...it would be grand!
What would be a good name for the sequel though? "Empty Park Spotting" ? "Closed on the (4th of July errr...) 21st of March" ?

But he is right, If I wanted to see Off-Season stuff, I'd want to see construction/removals...Which we can't do this year because we can't get a pic from outside the park...(Poor Vu)
But seriously just don't watch them if you don't want see.

It's good to see the park even though it didn't have to be that long of a video in my opinion, but good job. On Thursday, passing by Kiddieland the mechanics were looking at the Tornado. The Polyp's green wooden boards were out, but no additional parts for rides were put up like Tilt-A-Whirl, Ferris Wheel, Scrambler, and so on yet.
