Six Flags Mexico 2/12 PTR

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby bobbinbop20 on February 16th, 2009, 10:29 pm
We decided to be brave and see how Six Flags does internationally...

The park was nicer then i excpected and it was pretty clean. The one problem i had was that in a city of 40 million people (Mexico City) they decided that one train on a ride built for 3 trains is a great idea, yes i know its winter and this is rehab time but could it really hurt to run 2 trains out of 3, when there clearly just sitting there not being worked on at all. oh well some things never change. call me crazy but The one ride i was really looking forward to was the boomerang, but with my luck it was being repainted at the time so it was closed!!!

one other thing was when i asked an employee where i could get a park map she just looked at me and said 20 pesos! so does that mean you have to pay for a map? or did you just not understand me?

At least the other bigger rollercoasters were open including
-Superman el ultimo escape - a morgan hyper
-Batman The Ride- a Vekoma SLC
-Medusa- a decent woodie
-tsunami- one of thoughs figure 8 kiddie coasters

the roller skater and boomerang were closed :(

her is a video of Batman going through the course
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7WXUdrThms&feature=channel

and another video of the recording at btr its cool because its in spanish!

I remember the day Superman opened looking at pictures of the queue line and going WOW they finally did it right! The Daily Planet offices are awesome, though the station is rather underwhelming after such a well themed queue (looks fine though).

You waited over 1 hour for an SLC!?

^Well, the park only has 6 roller coasters at the time (In later 2009, they are getting the Dark Knight clone.), and 2 of them are not working plus the roller coasters according to this person only have 1 train. On top of that, one is a kiddie coaster, so you essential have 3 adult roller coasters working. So, yeah it makes sense to me that the SLC would be an hour.

I would never want to visit this park. This year, they are going to have 5 major roller coasters only with one being a SLC, and the other being a Morgan. The US is loaded with mice coasters also. How bad do they have it?

I can't say that I've ever heard anyone say that they like an SLC, but more power to you! Nice TR; definitely something I haven't seen before.

^ I've had mixed experiences on SLCs. Thunderhawk at Geauga Lake was good and very smooth, however, Mind Eraser at Darien Lake was a head-banging POS, as was Flight Deck at Canada's Wonderland.

Did you buy your season pass for this year at Six Flags Mexico? I remember the SFGAm gate attendants were always shocked to see my SFKK pass (it had a color picture), imagine what they'd say for a SFMexico pass :)

I would think passes would be dirt cheap out there.

^^ haha no because i got mine last october for 2009, but i think the season passes there were like somewhere around 500 pesos which is very cheap! but when we gave the lady the pass to get in she just looked at it and then like 5 seconds later she was like ohhhh! and then she had to call her supervisor over just for the supervisor to tell her to scan it, and what do you know it worked. also when i went to SFOT in december they also didnt know what to do
