Ok so this is pretty late, but I thought I would share some pics of my trip to cedar point last august. I know the quality of some on them arent the best but they were all taken on my phone because my camera was broke at the time, but the qualitys alright. enjoy

would it kill you to run 3 trains on a saturday in mid august.
would it kill you to run 3 trains on a saturday in mid august.
It would kill me....
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
Yes it would, Because god for bid, the Engineer should have to spend an extra 20 min after park close to move the 3rd train back to its hold spot. The Same Reason Six Flags will either NOT add the 3rd raging bull train till mid day when its super packed, or not add it at all. so what if it might not get busy, add the third train rather then shut down the ride mid day when lines are 2 hours long to add a 3rd.
Customers do not spend $60 and drive an hour or 2, to visit a park where half the rides are closed, and the other half are running but HALF capacity.
I personally think if they would start a "Everything is open, running full capacity" from open to close, more guests would come, and more often. I would DEF visit the park more often if i was guaranteed (except if its closed for mechanical problems) that all rides would be running at all times of the day.
^^That the problem is that something might be down for mechanical reasons, and people might even get more mad because that would be the park's slogan.
Cedar Point has a lot of coasters, but some of them just aren't great, or good. Some are terrible in my opinion. I think it's a great park, but I think it's a little overrated. I think it should be better than what it is. When you have 17 roller coasters (The most on the planet I think.), and probably the most flats in one park in the US, I think it should be a much better park.
It's like our park still keeping Tidal Wave, Shockwave, Deja Vu, Gulf Coaster, Z-Force, and Rolling Thunder plus the new additions. SFGAm would than have 18 coasters. However, SFGAm doesn't have that much room, and the more roller coasters you have, the more money they cost to maintain.
Older roller coasters at Cedar Point:
Magnum: 1989 Wildcat: 1979 Gemini: 1978 Jr. Gemini: 1979 Iron Dragon: 1987 Corkscrew: 1976 Blue Streak: 1964 Cedar Creek Mine Train: 1969 Disaster Transport: 1985
= 9
SFGAm oldest:
American Eagle: 1981 Demon: 1976 (Technically, the creation we have today wasn't Demon, but they changed it to having loops.) Whizzer: 1976 Iron Wolf: 1990
= 4
9 compared to 4
Cedar Point is keeping a lot of there old rides because Cedar Point is a really huge park whereas SFGAm doesn't have the space, and replaces them with newer rides.
