10/11 - Too many people

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby monsterfan99 on October 11th, 2008, 7:05 pm
So I decided to hit the park for a few hours today to take some Fright Fest pictures and maybe 1 or 2 rides. I got to the park around 2:45ish. The weather was amazing. The back lot was full as in only a few open places. The front lot had spaces by HH and some near Superman.

Once I got parked, I realized I locked my keys in the car . The Guest relations was a great help and locksmith was there in 10 minutes. Guy was fun and even talked a little about Six Flags. Finally got in the park around 3:30 and headed towards Superman Area. The lines, as one would guess from my title, were huge. Superman's que was completely full and spilled into the midway. Dark Knight was the same as well. I headed over to King Chaos and the line was huge. Was over a 25 minute wait but well, well worth it. I then headed over to Rajin Cajun. The regular line was well over an hour and the single rider line was around 30 minutes.

After that, it was over near V2 for some pictures and decided to by a refill Cup, which was on sell for for 3.99. Not a bad price for a cup that is 12.99 during the season. Except the line took over an hour plus. This is where a rant is coming. The line was set-up for 2 registers, except only one was working. The other one had 2 people counting money. Once they were done, those 2 employees and 2 other ones just stood there and talked. The amount of people that stormed out was amazing. Even worse was the fact that there were bees crawling over everything. There were bees sipping the soda, in the pretzel cheese and over th counter. This was disgusting and something has to be done about this.

My second rant is over the first aid. First, an employee gave me wrong instructions. Then a great employee at the store near Cajun put me as a top priority. I forgot her name, but the place needs more people like her. I told them what was wrong (ankle area hurting) and asked for advice. I did not think this was much but I was wrong. The main guy said, and I quote "so, what do you want us to do? go to a doctor" which pissed me off. He could have at least said "I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do except tape it or give you ice." It blows my mind they can treat people like this.

Overall, it was not a bad trip, just frustrating. I know they were extremely busy and short staff, but this was ridiculous. They have some amazing staff that will help you all you can, but it seems the one in charge have problems with people.

Should have gone to guest relations and complained about both situations, as well as given the helpful employee a guest compliment.

Honestly, I thought about that until I saw the line at Guest Relations. My ankle was hurting bad and not worth it. However, if anyone knows where to e-mail the park, please let me know.

I dont get why anyone would buy these considering you cant bring them in line with you for a lot of rides, then you just have to pay more for a locker.

Only reason I did was the cost of it compared to a 20oz bottle. If it wasn't that cheap, I wouldn't have bought it.

Let me add my two cents with this comment. The people (Especially that pirate looking guy) in the pass processing center sucked. He was at the front register and I was in line to buy next year parking pass when all of a sudden he left!!! Just left everyone hanging at the register and a huge line outside for 15 minutes. Everyone was complaining cause you can see everyone in the back doing nothing and we were like "Is someone gonna help us" but no one did nothing, some guy in white dress shirt name "Kyle" I think he was a manager or something of that nature, then finally a lady said to someone in the back that there's people waiting at the register and then guess what that guy with the pirate outfit said, "oh you can come back here" so then I went to pay for my parking pass, pulled my receipt to get credit for the $25 I paid to park in the front and the guy said "oh you have to go to guest relation to get your credit". At this point I was getting pissed cause I would had to leave the line again, but then a lady behind me said "We were sent to guest relation for the same thing and guest relation wouldn't refund us either". Finally the guy called guest relation and they told him to give us credit for the $25. All of this took 1 hour. I've had many issues with employees either doing nothing or not knowing to give you a refund even they screwed up ringing you up.

Other than that there were alot of bees and ladybugs all over. Every ride by 2:00 was packed. Superman had it's problems again, at 1:00 they cut off the line, emptied the que line and shut it down for 1 or 2 hours for maintenance work. At 4 i went to condor, was in line for 15 minutes and saw superman run like 2 times that whole time. I don't think the people in the food court gives a damn if they are slow or wanna go fast and lose money for the company.

1 question? Has the flash pass gold always been $57.

That's absolutely absurd they would treat you like that. I'd be storming into guest relations if somebody treated me like that. People with their sarcasm.....

That makes everyday of Fright fest for Superman going down at least once.

The season pass processing center was the same way when I got my pass. No one seemed to get the 2 free ticket idea. The pirate themed guy was the one that waited on myself and it was a mess.

I always sneak mine in my hoody, it works but its secured when on rides. I just tuck it under my arm.

Didn't want to make a new post for this but also went Yesterday and today.

Sunday, the lines were not all the bad as we got there around 5:00. The coaster lines were still long, but the flats were not bad. I must say, I love the single rider line at Cajun. That idea has saved me a ton of time and made each ride more enjoyable.

Monday was a great day at the park. Lines were under an hour for most rides, even bull non front row. I noticed the Terror Twister had a strobe light down, but still great. The Demon and American Eagle Blue were down all day. Demon was also down on Sunday. Overall, a great day in the park. Perfect weather and good rides.
