First off, I should not have taken 294 north. Took us around two hours and fifteen minutes for a 45 minute trip.
Anywaysss. We got to the park at around six o'clock. Just kinda started walking. We hit up Whizzer without about a five minute wait. Gave us a good outlook for the day.
After that we decided to mosey on over to Necro. Coming around the scare-actors from Rise of the Demon were out and about. I was very suprised at how brutal they were being this year. I loved it. It's really emtpy without any other scare-actors around the main midways. I really wish Area 51 would be back more in the park. Also no Wearwolves in Orleans Place? I heard something about one of their stilts breaking and they didnt want to risk anything more. Anyway, on to Necropolis!
On our round through, we were greated by the gravedigger before the bushes, which I think is a great place, especially with the fog. He also distracted a lot of people from the fact that there was a bush right after him, and would lead into a double scare sometimes. Coming out of the bushes it looks dead but they are hiding everywhere, and they are pretty damn good at it. They seemed to be a bit more into this year than last year, but that could also be because of the very low traffic today, and I just was seeing more scares. Very well done this year.
We definatley could NOT pass BTR so we hopped in line. I'm pretty sure since Vu is gone, this is my favorite ride at the park. Especially with it being a night ride!
We took a spin on TDK. No line? I just go for the preshow. We also rode SUF, had a small downtime but nothing major. Giant Drop also had a very short wait, nothing spectacular.
At around 8:45 we headed over to Love at First Fright. Do they even do early entry anymore for pass holders? Noticed RIGHT away some very... BIG changes to the cast. But to anyone who hasn't seen it I wont say too much. Just don't expect more than 3 or 4 familiar faces. Even with the changes it was a great show, and the Sarah Palin joke was great!
After that we walked over to Terror Twister. It sounded like a few new songs, but I can't be too sure.
Took a spin on Bull, and two last ones (including final dispatch) on Viper.
Overal, the general atmosphere of Fright Fest is still there, but it's a bit to sectioned, and there's not enough going on everywhere. Maybe if I went on a Saturday I'd see more, but I can't be the judge of that. I have at least two more FF trips in me, so we'll see what happens!
Was there too. It's definitely one of the better Fright Fests, but could still use some improvement. From what I've seen, it looks like they focused more on scaring-up the rides than improving on theming and scaracters.
For whatever reason, Batman is incredible with all that fog in the station. It was great to see the storm drain running the fan, lights, and fog in full effect again.
Terror Twister has the same music tracks as last year. I still cannot figure out what one of the songs they play is.
TDK was still dead (3 minute wait) just before close.
I was at the park yesterday also, and I thought there were fewer scare actor's thru-out the park, or they werent as active as other times ive been at the park. I also thought having the aliens by SSA was out of the place and easily missed sinced that part of the park is dead now with out SSA/Sky tower not operating.
Not overly busy, but they should have had RB with 3 trains from the open, and should have used 2 trains on AE would had a much longer line than it should have.
I was there as well, just like to add a few things.
- The demon was dead when we went on it at around 9:15-9:30. Almost every row was a reride except the first two. - We we to the American Eagle line at around 8:00. The line was the longest I've ever seen. It backed up to near the Dare Devil Dive plateform. The wait was easy an hour and the longest ride line we saw all night. The blue side was not running. - The Werewolfs were out when we got to the park around 5:30. - Last night was the first time I have seen V2 with only 1-2 train waits. Was great to only wait 10 minutes for front row.
I was there too -King Chaos was amazing I hope they keep that cycle next season -Revolution was amazing too the final spin was crazy -The mini haunted house thing in Area 51 was good not worth 5 bucks tho glad I had my season pass -Rue Le Dodge was great
I can't say much about MOT or Studio 13 because I didn't go in them but Im going again tomorrow so and I hope Studio 13 got better then last year
I wonder how many people feel that Batman the Ride is now their favorite ride at the park because Deja Vu is gone. I feel the same way.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
It was funny, I was exiting Eagle and some guy pulled out a HUGE video camera literally 1 foot after the station. An op was leaving the station and going down the employee stair and was like F()CK! Then he was going to say something to the operator but then did a "nah whatever" and keep walking down the stairs.

I still love Bull, but Batman is now #2, followed by Viper.
