The Great Escape was nicer than I thought it would be, mainly because I thought it was just going to be a parking lot with some rides on it. Granted the park doesnt have any great rides but it does have the re-incarnation of the infamous Crystal Beach Cyclone, and SFGAms Rolling Thunder.

After turning onto Six Flags drive and driving down a foresty road and the first thing you encounter is the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge. Since we had an hour we decided to stop in and see how Six Flags is with hotels.

Its similar to a Great Wolf Lodge type hotel, however is smaller, and built/owned/operated by Six Flags.

The lobby area, extremely nice and well themed.

These are pretty much the only Six Flags logos on the property.

This is an awesome shirt.

The waterpark, much like the theme park, was pretty small.

Some lounge in the middle of a hallway, once again very well themed.
Okay onto the theme park. The park overall looked very nice, the one thing I didnt like about it were the operations were pretty crappy (Steamin Demon, indoor coaster SBNO, Condor) and of course all the coasters 1 train op with Comet going to 2 later in the day. The employees overall were by far the frendliest of any Six Flags.

The first view you get driving into the park. I dont know exactly what the entrance area is supposed to be, but it looks like a small town in the Netherlends?

A "non branded" Six Flags owned park

The entrance plaza

Its a smaller Zamperla Balloon Race

Yeah this ride sucks, but the entrance area looks really nice.

These. Things. Suck.

The train sits here for like 30 seconds before dropping.

In case the maintenence guys forget which way is the station and which way is the lift.

They wear the bright shirts with the message on the back, but the Great Escape logo on the front instead of the SF logo.

Nice scenery.

TGE's kids area is called "Looney Tunes National Park" and im pretty sure was built after SFGAms was renamed from LTNP to BBNP.

The new for 2008 addition was Wiggles World.

The Skycoaster crew was the fastest ive ever seen. We were suited, proned, flew, and on our way in a matter of a few minutes.

This Wiggles area was a lot like SFGAms without the tent, a big circle with rides.

We were NOT happy to see this, luckily it opened shortly after.

Comet is a wooden coaster with a steel support frame. It tracked very well and was fast but didnt have much air.

The no friends lane.

This was the only coaster to be so painful and intense it had a nurse stationed at the exit. It is nothing like it was back then and runs pretty smooth.

We wouldve ridden it more but with 1 train op decided to go back to see if RT was open yet.

...and it was.

This is a flying turns coaster moved from SFGAdv, to SFGAm, to TGE.

The Jaimaca train complete with dreadlocks, steel drum band, and marijuana.

The US train complete with monster trucks, Budweiser, and Chevy trucks.
Its a solid coaster but for all of the brake runs the track is highly banked then flattens out right away so there is some side slamming.

Shockwave makes a guest apperance at TGE.

Trees, flowers, Pinnochio's house?

As stated in the SFNE TR, all of these in the country were closed.

You know your running out of things to do when walking towards a Boomerang youve already been on (no we did NOT reride it).

I thought this thing was dead at first.

The mine train coaster....WOO

Funky support

Steamin' Demon, one of the parks main coasters, closed. Lame.
Next TR will be like your in a whole different country.
