Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby sfgamguy on August 19th, 2008, 11:10 am
I'll make this short. We got to the park at ten and went left. We found SUF had broken down so we skipped it and TDK line was past SUF so we went on the bumper cars. after that we went on ragin cagun. then v2 the holding break was still broken  Then we went on loggers run 3 times. we didn't get very wet (by the way yankee clipper was drained. I have never seen that before) Then some of my friends thought it would be funny if we went on the jetsons roller coaster. Next we went to get the pappa johns family meal deal (we used the coupon from the season pass book) It gave us 2 salads, a giant jug of pink lemonade, cheese bread, a whole pizza, and for dessert lemon ice. all for only 30 bucks. Good deal :!: Then we went on the GARW. after that we went to SWT. Bull was way way too long so we skipped it  we went on viper instead. then it was 2:30 and we saw shallow seas still in 2D  then we went to TDK we waited for an hour and a half. honestly I am glad they did little things different to it by that I mean...
1. there was a spotlight on the first batman when you come around the first turn
2. It was darker inside and I could not see where we were going
3. when you go by the toy truck we slowed down when we came by it and the part where it lights up and there are gun shots it lasted longer :D I think TDK is better now than ever
when we left it was 4:30

^ I only went on TDK once at the very end of July, and I really didn't like how it wasn't pitch black in there so you could still see most of the track. It's good that they fixed that and actually made it darker.

They must have just done that because it was still the same for me when I went saturday and Batman always had a spotlight on him didn't he?

Yankee Clipper drained? Does that mean it is closed for the season?

Is there any problems with the Yankee Clipper? Why would they close it for the season now, isn't it to early to close it for the season?

^ I hope not! Then they would only have 2 water rides, unless they build another one.

Does the ride have any problems that would make the park want to take it down? It would be stupid to take it down if it dosen't have any problems.

Well i'm not jumping to conclusions here, they might just be closing it for the season. Actually no they aren't tearing it down because one of my friends said they won't be tearing anything down that is operational right now so YC is safe.

Yankee Clipper did have some mechanical maintenance issues in the beginning of the season and was not open regularly for a few weeks. Maybe who knows? I doubt though since aren't the flumes connected somehow and how would Logger's Run look all by itself? tear them both down but not just one. That won't happen for a while since they are very popular.

I don't think they are connected, I think they zig zag through each other. ( I could be wrong)

aren't connected. They just go through each other. It would be a shame for them to go. 2 Marriott classics.

I don't see any reason why they would get rid of it, so I think it is safe.

Well they got rid of SWF because of the boats if they kept making them or not and I heard it was leaking or something, who knows about YC we'll have to see.

If YC was leaking wouldn't Loggers Run be leaking too, because they use the same pond.

I don't know if YC is leaking, I could see that SWF was leaking at points on the lift or that might just have been the boat going up

Yeah but why close it when there is still about 2 weeks left in August and HH doesn't even close until Labor Day weekend?
