Let us know how your day at the park was.

Today was a really nice day. We got there just before opening, and we went to the Hometown Square chain. It dropped, and we just walked fast over to Bull, still ended up getting second train of the day in back row. We got right back on after that, in the front row which is always amazing. I don't feel like writing out the whole report, so here we go...

Bull - 4; Second ride of the day, and last ride of the night.
AER - 1
Viper - 2
Giant Drop - 1; Still get scared every time we get to the top... especially this time. Not sure why, lol.
BTR - 1
SUF - 1
Orbit - 1

Hurricane Harbor, from 11-3
Wave Pool - About 3 times, and it was having difficulties. It was closed for a while later on, and when they finally opened it back up, the wave sound thing went off and everyone got excited but nothing happened. It went off again, still nothing. When they finally started up, once they were over, they told us to get out. It was annoying.
Riptide - 2
Paradise Plunge - 2
Baracuda, Hammerhead, Vortex and Typhoon - All 1 time
Green Family Slide - 1
Tornado - 1
Bahama Mama and Bubba Tubba - Both 1 time
Lazy River - 1

Waits for Hurricane Harbor were none for the first couple hours, started to build just a little later on but we still only waited a few minutes for some of the slides. Wahoo Racers were closed... BOOO! I wanted to ride them.

Don't buy sunscreen unless you know it works and you know for sure that it is waterproof. We used what we thought was good sunscreen, SPF 30, and we STILL got horrible sunburn.

Hi All,

They seem to be having all sorts of problems at Hurricane Harbor. I thought maybe because it was early in the season, but it's not early anymore.
I have been there about 10 times or more since the opening and the music is still screwed up. Wahoo racers and other attractions either aren't opened or open late. The concession stands are staffed full of new employee's for most of whom English is a second language and so it's very slow going. I am still upset that of the three refillable cups I bought on opening day, two were from last year and cannot be refilled. I ended up buying yet another one, but this time making sure it said 2008 on it.
Now I know that these are all minor distractions, but combined with my ( perhaps unreasonably) high expectations they are very annoying!
I figured that they like all of us are struggling through this uncertain economy. I guess I shouldn't complain about having a life in a country where I can go lounge around a waterpark everyday if I please. But, I have noticed all these things plus the general malaise all around and I wonder if it will all eventually work itself right again, or if this is the beginning of the end of Six Flags.
