5/10/08 First trip of the season TP

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Jackluver18 on May 10th, 2008, 8:53 pm
We got to the park around 9:30 and the entrance was empty.......there was no one at the entrance to the park and we asked if this was our park because we had never seen it so dead before. We got the 25.00 dollar parking and got a front row spot. We walked in and got the parking pass and the Flash Pass just in case it did get crowded. The first ride of the day was Batman front row no wait which was nice. Next was V2 and people were getting upset cause they couln't bring their belongings up the ride even though there were signs.

After V2 was Bull front row Red train. Only Red and Yellow were working cause of Teal being out. Only about a 20 minute wait at Bull which wasn't bad at all for front row. Next was Giant Drop now I swore I wouldn't go on this ride again after I got sick on it but I had to over come my fear of Giant Drop so I told my boyfriend we would go on a different side and that I would sit in the middle instead of the ends. After GD was Whizzer front row, the wait was not even 5 minutes so that was really good. Next was Viper. Viper had a 15 minute wait and has some nice decals on the front of the train which we liked very much. Rode back row on Viper, great air time.

After Viper we went and got some lunch at Johnny Rockets which was really good. We wanted Panda Express but the line was backed up so we didn't want to wait. After we ate we waited in line for AE and got on Red. Blue train was up and running but we wanted red. It was about a 15 minute wait for Red and that gave us a little time to digest our food. I love Red side...best ever in my opinion. Next was Superman I also told myself i'd never ride SUF again cause of the pretzal roll but I rode it and did a little better this time.

Saw TDK and let me tell you I have a very good feeling it won't be done in two weeks because when we passed by it smelled like they were painting but that's my opinion also. Also I hope they plan on painting that ugly grey box. They now have a sign for the coaster out in front ant it looks really cool.

We got tired of coasters for a bit so we went on Rue La Dodge and played DDR for a little bit because we had hardly sat down and needed to rest for a bi because our feet were hurting. After a half hour break we hopped on Demon which was about a 15 minute wait for front row on black train.

We went on Superman,V2, Batman and Bull a couple more times and ended with Superman for the day. I didn't see any coasters get stuck and all of Vu's track is gone, all that is left is the blue supports of tower one. The park got a little packed around 1 because of some Music Award show that was going on but we had the Flash Pass but still the longest we waited was about 20 minutes so not too bad. I will add photos to my facebook and will put the link on here so you can see them. Didn't take very much but oh well. We left at 7:15 cause we were sore and went on everything we wanted and headed to McDonalds for dinner.

Can't wait till next time.

Your feet got tired so you played DDR?

Uhh, o.k.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

No we took a break cause we hadn't sat down all day from walking around the park so after DDR we took a little break before starting up on the coasters again.

^Mine don't hurt either anymore.

Glad you got on more rides than me, we spent most of our time trying to stay away from all the little 8th graders that were driving us nuts the whole day. 168 North Face jackets in the first 2 hours is what we counted, from there we gave up. Oh, and it was nice seeing you at Rue Le Dodge ;)
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(
