So we started our day with a trip to the gas station to get soda cans to get $15 bucks off the ticket. After that it was only 25 bucks to get in. Pretty sweet deal. So we get into the parking lot and....
Then we were greeted with this:

People? On opening day? WTF? Turns out the people didn't really care about riding anything other than Renegade, so we were okay in the lines category.
Here's a shot of two lift hills. Yay.

The big one is Wild Thing, and while I would say that Raging Bull is a better coaster I will say that the first hill on this coaster has the longest floater airtime I've ever experienced. Its kind of insane. The other one is corkscrew....its normal.

And for all you S&S and Ferris Wheel junkies out there here's a shot for you. Power Tower is just like all the other ones. Pretty boring. I like Giant Drop's normal drop far better than either of the sides on Power Tower. But there is this really cool bridge to get there that shakes when you walk on it. Go bridges!

....If you thought those lifthills before were hot I bet you are practically lactating for this shot. Thats a Wild Thing.
As to how our day went. We jogged it to Renegade once we got to the park since it was kinda a new ride. It was lots of fun, very fast throughout the course and combine that with some sweet laterals and you have a sweet ride. Good job GCII.
After Renegade we went to Wild Thing. It was fun. We gave the pole some lovin just for Director Guy.

After Wild Thing Brittany was like,
"Lets go ride V2!"
So we did.

Then V2 got stuck in the oddest position.

It seriously just sat there for 20 minutes. One LIM wouldn't stop firing the wrong way. Very loud. Very annoying. Stupid Intamin.

It looks like I had a serious Wild Thing fetish going back a year ago. Someone make me take a cold shower.

Seriously, its a really long drawn out figure eight that makes you lose a bunch of speed so you can look at all the people in the midway who are all thinking "oooo hyper coaster!" taking pictures of you. Renegade was better. Why didn't I take pictures of the good coaster?

OH MY GOD A PICTURE OF RENEGADE! Thats all there is though. Just take my word for it. Its a sweet ride.
I went on this ride sometime during the day:

They are great. I love rides that make you use two OTSR's "just in case."
So at this point we were walking back towards Renegade when Don and I spotted one of those waterslides that you can ride with your clothes on. It was 55 degrees. Two guys around 200 lbs each + Raft waterslide = Stupid.

Nick: "God damnit I'm cold."
Don: "Lets go back to the dorm."
Nick: "Okay, I've got a whole season of coasters ahead of me."

Bye.
