The best part was that the toll road construction wasn't backed up at all, I just flew through it and was at the park shortly after 1. The parking lot was insanely full. Even the back overflow lot was pretty full. Everyone trying to park was irate and cutting each other off. I went around to the Preferred Parking lane and there wasn't anyone checking ID's which was strange but oh well. The part of the parking lot that was reserved for this the last time(the space near Viper and Hurricane Harbor) was closed off so I went through the chaos part of the lot thinking I wouldn't find anything and have to double back but luckily there were tons of spots near SUF. The last time I parked on that side was when Shockwave was still around. Got a great spot in Lot 14, Bugs Bunny area

I headed to the entrance and even though the temp was supposed to be in the 50's(add 10 deg for the black pavement) it was pretty cold, I think because of the wind. Luckily I dressed warm enough. Got through the entrance right away and no sensors went off for the metal detectors.
The first thing I did was get my pass renewed for 2008. It wasn't supposed to be open till 2pm but it was open anyway. I texted a couple of buddies of mine that wanted to get their passes renewed by today to get the "Six Perks Thing" for 08 and found out that it had to be processed at the park to for it to count. I thought you could just do it online and you'd be good to go but that wasn't the case. It wasn't Six Flags fault since they made it very clear that you have to do this at the park but I was bummed since the others that wanted to do this with me were coming back from vacation and couldn't make it down there. Anyway, it wasn't crowded at all and they weren't issuing parking passes yet since they still are trying to determine the price for the 08 parking. But I was glad I got all this out of the way.
First ride I went on was Tripple Play. I only waited one ride cycle and this thing is always amazing. The thrill level is just as high as most of the coasters(minus the inversions and height) and I wish more carnivals would get something like this. I've never rode this at night but will have to next year since it looks really neat lit up.
Next I went on the Orbit and just had to wait one cycle also. I got on lucky car #7 and this was the first time I saw this thing filled to capacity. I like riding it better with 2 people since you don't slide around as much when it is vertical. Another one I will have to ride at night since the lights are cool on this.
Headed to Deja Vu/Hellevator after that. I hadn't ridden this the entire season so I was looking forward to it. The line queue wasn't that bad even though it was packed. Only took about 90 mins to get through it and for once it never stopped for the usual cable cool-downs that it did in the past. Rode seat 8a and that was a bit difficult because of the big metal thing in front of you. The only thing that annoys me is how people don't listen to the "buckle only the orange seatbelt and leave the green harness up". It's only said a million times and people were freaking out because the shoulder harnesses wouldn't lock. Was a great ride but a bit head-bangy going backwards through the batwing.
Was pretty hungry after that so I got my wristband and headed back to the car to head out and get something to eat. Got back and went right back to Lot 14. There was a massive swarm of seagulls at this point, some nearly missing my head(and yes, they left a nice little present all over my car and windshield by the end of the night).
Decided to tackle Superstition next. I can't believe I almost forgot about this, since it's my whole reason for going to FF. The line wait was pretty short and when we boarded it was filled to capacity. Got to watch the Elvira pre-ride video which is still hillarious. I sat in row 3 with a great view of the screen. Ok, I now have this entire flick memorized but it will never get old. Elvira has the best "evil laugh" I've ever heard.
Took the clockwise route through the park after that just to see how the crowds were on that side.
Went on the Condor/The Birds. I had to wait 2 ride cycles which was worth it. I love how they slow it down when you are at the top and suddenly speed it up as you descend. The screams and reactions from the other riders at that point are the best.
Headed to Necropolis next. The fact that it was crowded actually made it scarier since it was easier for the characters to pull a sneak-attack on you. They would just get up in your face and stay still and silent and that was the best! At one point there was a ton of fog from the machine covering part of the walkway and I was bracing myself since I knew I would either trip and fall or bump into someone. Luckily I made it through unharmed. I actually took the time to look at alot of the exhibits and can't believe the amount of work and time that went into this area so I spent alot of time in there while still being paranoid about something else jumping out at me. Oh, the thing that throws up in the garbage can was on idle and was drooling chunks, awesome. When I exited near Ragin Cajun I saw some little kid crying and screaming on it, hahahah(c'mon I think it was funny). Oh and the chainsaw dude from the haunted house caused a ton of people to run out screaming and plowed alot of us over.
Went on the Eagle next. This was about a 30 min wait and it was freezing in line. I got to read all the questions to the Wiggles World thing below(where the toy cars go through). I only got one question right. Anyway, I rode the red side somewhere in the middle and it took forever to get the ride started since the manual t-bar thing wouldn't release a lap bar for a height check for some little kid. After all that drama, he was too short to ride, I felt so bad for him. The red side is definitely my fave because of all the mini-hills. The airtime for some reason is much better in the middle seats than the front or back of the train. I was barely in my seat most of the ride.
Did some shopping after that and didn't really find anything. Southwest Scareitory was PACKED! It took forever to walk through it. The best part though was the Ghost Train when I entered. I just happened to be walking on the tracks when the gates were going up and down and people were looking all over for the train. Too bad I didn't see the headless horseman on those tracks this year, I really loved that.
Still had 3 hours left before park close but I couldn't stay till the end since I had some errands to run. Figured I would do one more coaster, shop and then leave.
Decided on the Demon, which was no contest. Any trip to the park for me is never complete without riding this. The line queue was completely full but it only took 15-20 mins. It was great watching the people scream in the "Rise of the Demon" thing while waiting in line. Rode in the back seat of the yellow train and this was an awesome last ride of the season. The tunnel lights were back on and it was dark out so the entire experience on this was great.
Went to a couple more stores and still didn't find anything other than what I already bought. It was cool to look at the stuff though.
Left for the night with 2 hours to spare and the parking lot was still totally packed. I can't even imagine what the end of the night exit must've been like.
Cheers to SFGAM 2007! Another great season.
