Let us know how your day at the park was.

Ahh, what a great day!

Lucky for me, I was staying at the La Quinta hotel right behind Ihop as you drive along the Grand Ave. Exit. So I got a little bit of extra sleep, and started my day.

By the time I got to the Hometown Bridge, it was a decent pack of people, not much farther than the posts. Before I knew it was 10:00 and the dropped the chains. I made a crappy decision to run to Vu. To my dissapointment it was closed until later on in the day. I somehow managed to make my way around Demon, and the back way to Southwest, and still get first dispatch on Bull back row.

By the time I got out of the exit, the line was a straight shot, but out of the queue house, and pouring onto the midway. I decided to head over to Drop, and well, it's dead every morning. So I pulled in a sweet 15 rides on this and proceeded to find some food. But not before a ride on the Demon! I decided to ride in the front, considering the line for 6:1 was pretty freekin long. For food, I decided to try Johnny Rockets. Now it is a little pricey, but the Burgers are AMAZING!

After I ate, I walked back towards Southwest, and the lines were getting pretty insane. I pretty much just walked past everything. As I was coming around Orbit, I saw Vu catch on Tower 2, and I could only assume it was testing. I quickly headed over there, and joined the line now forming. Before you know it, they finished the lead test and the ride was open. Now I wasn't the first one in line, but all 10 or so people infront of me didn't know the first car was set off, so lucky me, got a first dispatch in 1B. From here I didn't know what to do. I found some friends over by Columbia and this is where the scenic part of my day really started. I'm pretty much just going to have some reviews of what we saw.

Necropolis-
From the moment I walked in, I loved how they loaded up on fog, especially with the lights at night. It was also a nice touch of having a Grave Digger () wandering throughout Necro, and ocasionally starting off at the beginning of the trail. From the first turn, I'm really dissapointed they didn't use that little pavillion for anything like they did last year, it was a really nice diversion. But they made up for it over by where the freak show used to be. It was a great diversion, especially at night. Also, props to a lot of Scareactors, for doing a lot of stand still stuff, and then jumping out. I have no idea what the role was, but there was a lady on a chair through the big diversion, and a man lying next to the car wreck. If you guys are reading this, you guys did an AMAZING job. I didn't check out the haunted houses, and as always, the walk back is always blah. I really wish they'd bring a bush back over by the fence towards the end...

Dead Man's Party
I really didn't know what to expect of this show. From a VERY first impression before the show even started, I loved what they did with the set. Now the show itself, was pretty much just all over the place, I didn't really get it, unless it was seriously just a party and they sing and dance the whole time. It didn't really keep my attention until they did, "Wake Me Up Inside." I loved what they did, and from here on out the show really picked up and kept a good pace. Really good second half of the show.

Love At First Fright
Now I know I already wrote some stuff in the LAFF thread but this will go into a bit more detail. Like I said before, the new Jack just didn't seem to have as much...pep? as the last one. Specifially about what I said during one way or another. Otherwise, I just think he needs to loosen up and get a little more into it. The new Wolfie and Igor aren't bad at all, I just need to get used to the fact that they sing higher. And another thing about Wolfie, he let his movement affect his voice, which wasn't an issue with the last one. Maybe he just needs to get used to it. Oh, and Igor's high note? um...yeah.

Randoms
-The other Scareactors around the park were doing an AMAZING job this year. It was really great seeing them plan out a lot of stuff, and a lot of groups were asking them to go after certain people, and it was a great show on its own!
-Rise of the Demon I thought was a very nice addition. The heavy fog made it pretty hard to see around, and they would just start banging on the fences and barrels. It's great!
-Freak Show I liked a lot better with just the two people. It was really good just having the two of them up there having a great time performing. I did note that someone passed out too.

Overal, this is an AMAZING Fright Fest this year, if not the best one I've been to in awhile. If you haven't gone yet, I highly suggest you do.

"Hope to see you another day, another way!"
