Mother's Day 5/13/07

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Eh... Well we got to the park earlier than I ever have, probably about 9:15. Used the preferred parking which is a huge benefit! Once the park opened we ran to BTR and were first in line. We got in the front row and rerode 2 more times. Amazing rides. Then we walked onto V2.

I think around this time I may have hugged Daffy. He's one of my favorites lol. We walked onto the front row of AER. While nearing the top, the train climbed slower and slower and it was so slow I thought we were going to stop. I seriously thought it was going to stop, but it didn't. Damn did it take forever to get over that hill. We got to stay on 2 more times!

Then we walked over to Bull, and rode it twice. It bored the hell out of me. Plus, after running to BTR as time went by, I got more & more tired and I had no energy. Then, we rode Giant Drop, and then Viper. While on the last turn on Viper, I saw something flying towards me, and I thought okay what was that? I didn't see anything, so I figured it wasn't anything. Then I felt a wet spot on my hoodie. There was a HUGE glob of spit on me. I about died it was so gross. I knew who it was too, I swear she would not stop spitting on and after the ride. We stayed on, and I asked the op for some paper towels. She got some on herself as well, because her hand was on the car and some was there too. Typical immature teenagers.

So after a second good ride on Viper, we walked over to the Scenic Railway station in HTS. It was going to be 15 minutes, so we waited, and I laid down and closed my eyes because I was so exhausted. The train came and we got on, and went around the park once. We decided to hit one more ride before leaving the park for lunch, it ended up being SUF. Around this time the park was getting to be pretty crowded.

When we came back in, we rode King Chaos, and BTR. On our way towards Yukon, we ran into Pepe La Pew, and he came up to me, took my hand and started kissing it like crazy!! The employee with him told my boyfriend that he's been doing some girlfriend stealing today. It was so cute and funny what he was doing. It totally made my day.

Next was Iron Wolf. Ouch. Sometimes it's rough and sometimes it's not... today it was rough. Revolution was next, always a fun ride. Then we rode AEB in the back. It was braked on the helix this time, unlike last weekend. It seemed to be having major problems today though. Next ride was Demon, which I thought maybe I should go on more often. Then we hopped onto Orbit.

We headed on over to ride Viper, and we went in the 3rd row. Then rode Bull again where we were given boarding passes, then AER. Blue had just closed down as we were getting in line, and no one was over in Blue's station anymore except for the workers. It was really having a tough time today. Had a good ride on AER. I loved riding it today, I think it's such a pretty-looking ride while on it, and fun. Then we hopped onto Revy.

After a ride on Fiddlers Fling and BTR, we decided to get a little wet since we were pretty hot. Roaring Rapids is always a fun ride. After getting soaked, we got in line for Cajun which was around a 15-20 minute wait. Saw a few people from this site while in line and Director Guy took a picture of us. It was probably one of the best rides on Cajun ever, our car was spinning crazy.

Next, we rode King Chaos, and then got in line for SUF. They were using boarding passes for this ride too. It was an extra long wait because for the 2nd to last row, both trains had at least one broken seat. It was a fun ride though. After a ride on Whizzer, we went to Viper again and went near the back. That annoying guy was operating. The one who says "Enjoy your ride on the Viperrrrrrrrrrr." We got to re-ride it, and this time that guy was completely silent.

Then my boyfriend dragged me onto Chubasco. It's better with more than 2 people. Then we got in the back row for Bull. Coming back into the station, no one was in line for the back so we got to reride! After that, we went on Giant Drop, and then Ricochet. We sat down for about 15 minutes just to rest.

With 15 minutes left, we rode Bull 5 times including the last train of the night in row 3. Great way to end the day. The park was empty the first 1-2 hours, then got pretty crowded (but most lines were extremely short) and the last few hours got less and less crowded.

Nice trip report. sounds like you had a fun day. Quick question...Was the Scenic Railway still squeaky around the turns?

Dmrbug: Nope, not from what I remember. Still some Fright Fest music by Viper too.

It was overall a good day. I was so tired on sunday, we ended up leaving about a hour early. We rode everything but vu and SSR. It was a good day. Got a little bit sunburned, but a good day none the less.
