Valleyfair 5/13 Renegade!

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Met up with a group at Valleyfair on Sunday to check out their new wooden coaster from GCI. It's early in the game but this promises to me another great offering from GCI. If you've ridden Kentucky Rumbler, Thunderhead or Ozark Wildcat you'll know what I mean.

It has decent pacing with plenty of twists and some nice laterals and pops of air . It did speed up throughout the day as well so I can only imagine how it will be doing after it breaks in.

The park was almost a ghost town through mid-afternoon despite being a gorgeous day. Basically everything was a walk-on unless you waiting for a front or back seat and then it was a two-train wait at the very most.

Overall operations were a little slow but Sunday was only their second day open so I can understand that.

Pet Peeve alert... Yet another park that charges more for water than they do soda.

A great day though. If you find yourself near the Twin Cities this summer Valleyfair is worth a few hours of your time!

I went on Saturday, and crowds were quite a bit bigger than they were on Sunday but I still had a great time at the park nonetheless. Renegade wait times were near a half hour during the day and other wait times near 15 minutes. It was my first time on most of the rides and I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed most of their stuff, and would love to go on a day when nobody visits the park.
