Mother's Day

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby rct2wizard360 on May 13th, 2007, 8:22 pm
This won't be a very detailed TR, so bear with me here.

Basically a lot of everything.
This was probably the most crowded Mother's Day I've been to since '03. But it still wasn't bad at all.

Started off the day with maybe a dozen Raging Bull rides, then some Eagle Rides, some Demon rides, yeah, pretty much everything.

Some stuff I noticed today...

-For everyone complaining about line jumping, Raging Bull was using boarding passes the last half of the day. Easy fix.
-Someone came off of Iron Wolf with bleeding ears. Needless to say, another coaster joke I'll feel bad using.
-Vu was on track. No catchcar on Tower 2.
-For all the people who are complaining about AEB going slow at the top of the lift, it's because they don't have any booster wheels up there, and they need them for the brake run or else it couldn't get into the station.
-Car 6 on Giant Drop is currently down...up? Whatever you prefer.
- BTR longest queue? Definatley.
-I'm also loving the amount of good Jazz they have on the park soundtrack.

My lips are chapped.
Oh and Director_Guy is the most metal person I know.

Good TR.

I feel like an idiot but, when you say boarding passes you mean getting a card with a number and having to board in that order (or in bulls case, past the flash pass)?
I'd rather be riding the Voyage

Nice TR, and yes, they handed out the boarding pass at the entrance in numerical sequence and collected them by the grouper at the bottom of the stairs. I think they did this only for practice since they really did not need it at all.

By the way, I have about 150 pictures from today, I will not be posting them here, but you can view them via facebook with the provided links, you do not need a facebook to see them. I figured I would just add them to Joe's TR because making this a new topic would be somewhat pointless.

Damn straight.

Today was pretty awesome. Very few people there. Most things were walk-on if not almost walk on. Not as good as it was last year, but good nonetheless.

Good TR, by the way.

I'll put up my PTR..... *stretch yawwn* later.

Car 5 is the one that is down. It's parked a little lower at the top of the tower than the other ones.

Superman also had boarding passes at some point. Didn't they use boarding passes before on Superman, like years ago?

We walked by it later, I remember there being a sign saying something about Line Jumping. It was prolly then.

I wonder how much money they actually wasted printing those passes, and using them on a day that was practically dead coasterwise? Opening day would have been a MUCH better choice for them.

Given all the complaints about line jumping on opening weekend I think it was the proactive thing to do to use them, even if it wasn't really warranted by the size of the crowds. That way, SF shows that they're being responsive to the complaints, as they should be.

We made a trip to Six Flags today (May 16th) and it was Psychics Day for the kiddies. Lines were long, and we had a big surprise waiting for us. No Boarding Passes! WTF?!?
