Trip Report July 26th 2006

Around about 9:30 my friend Steph and her family picked me up for an awesome day at Six Flags Great America!

After the ride down filled with fighting by Steph’s two younger sisters we finally arrived!

The first thing Steph and I did was go to none other but to challenge the Raging bull!

Steph wasn’t thrilled with me because she doesn’t exactly enjoy this ride 

We ended up with a great ride in second row!

YAY! THE TRAIN!!! I only ride this for great views for pictures! And time to take a little rest…. Like I said great pictures like these ones!

After the lovely train ride it was getting HOT so we went to Hurricane Harbor.

We floated around the lazy river a few times went down a few slides and left.

I love taking pictures of Columbia Carousel!

All morning the announcement about the possibility of severe weather was repeating…. We were thinking aww no the storm will just pass over us! Boy was I wrong! We got stuck in line for Bull when the heavens unleashed!

For safety measures most rides were shut down for about an hour Steph, and I got stuck huddled with a lot of other people in the station for Raging Bull. Finally after the storm passed we waited not even five minutes for another amazing ride that the bull gave us.

Today surprisingly Demon had about a 15 minute wait! I was shocked, but we enjoyed our ride…. Steph got annoyed with my singing of the Demon song being played in the background.

Batman had a long wait, so we decided to take a spin on East River Crawler while in line I took this cool pic of batman.

Yesterday, being my fourth trip to the park so far this year I wasn’t stressing on what to go on or what I should be spending my time with. We got on about 7-8 rides total because we spent the majority of the time walking around, taking pictures, talking, and spending time in the rain. Yesterday’s trip was so far one of my favorites. Stay tuned! I should have another report for later next week or the week after.

I really like your photos, but if you do this again, can take pictures of some of the lines also (full wide queue)? This would be just a couple. Otherwise, great trip report. And that was the evil day of weather.

Yeah, no problem next time i go which will be in a week or two i will definately take more pics of the queue's when we were in line for bull the last time they started opening up the turnstyles I should have taken a pic but i didnt. thanks for the tip!
