7/19-My Birthday and a new song

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby themanoftheland8 on July 20th, 2006, 1:51 am
We started off getting to the park at 9:45 or so, and weaved our way near the front of the mob by the carousel. While waiting, we watched the very excited kid on the carousel (not really, he actually looked bored out of his mind watching the dance). Also, we just couldn't resist making fun of the dance (I know it's great for families and all), but we noticed that only Bugs, Daffy, and Sylvester were invited to the party. So, we had to make up our own little version of the song. Here it goes.

"There's a party goin on and some are invited...."
"....Bugs, it's time to party. Lola, your not invited. Sylvester, it's time to party. Tweety, just go hooome. Daffy, it's time to party. Foghorn, go sit doown."

Anyways, we were experimenting with that for the day (Yes, I know, we sound like 4 year olds, but it was some clean fun.)

Anyways, we sprinted to Vu (a very noble sprint, I might add), noticed it wouldn't be opening, so we got a couple quick rides on Demon. And what can I say besides it's pretty much the same as the other 100 rides I've done this season :) . Vu still wasn't behaving, so we headed to Bull, which was already a 20 minute wait (only 2 trains  ). I believe this was the first ever casualty I've experienced at the park. My poor poptart of an unknown flavor fell out of my pocket and likely did not survive the 150ish foot drop  . We got over it, and headed to Eagle Blue (red wasnt open), which was a walkon.

We then were off to drop, only running half the cars at this point, and it took about 20 minutes to get on. This was one of the worst decisions I made in the day. Wouldn't you know it, Vu opened up as I was there. So we sprinted over and waited a good 20 minutes for an excellent ride on 1B. This was my friend's first time on this and he loved it.

Now, after much debating of weather to go left or right (we were very indecisive), we chose left. On to Iron Wolf, which was nice to see running 2 trains again. Then to V2, sadly passing up Spacely's because my friend was scared to ride it. Here, we met another group from my school who just happened to be goin that day. After much dissing them, we went on the back for another pretty good ride.

Meh, the day went on, got busier, blah blah blah. We did a couple more rides, made fun of the song some more, got squirted by some of the game workers by the Great American Raceway a few times, and so on. (this is the part I forgot what we did, in case you can't tell. I remember my totals though.) Oh yeah, we did go on Eagle sometime in between the making fun of the song and the workers squirting us the second time. Went on red side, and, what's this I see? Two red trains? What? Yes! Hooray! They are running both red trains! Yay! (I hope I'm not late with this)

Eventually, at about 6ish, we made our way over to Batman. The line was through one switchback, and my friend was desperate to ride it. Knowing it was probably not wise to wait that long, I advised him against it, but he insisted. So, we waited for the horribly long time of 20 minutes. Then, when we came down the exit, we noticed the line was in the tunnel, so we got on again. Then, it was to the stairs, so we went on again. Then it was higher up the stairs, so we went again. And so on. After about 6 or 7 rides, it was up around the station, so we started running down the exit ramp (Kids, dont try this at home  ). That is actually really tough to do with all those tight turns. I ended with a total of 28 rides on B:TR. (we only got 1 re-ride, due to the stinkin lines.)

We headed to Vu for the last ride of the night, and it was amazing, although we were forced onto row 3B. There was a mispark though, which was a nice little birthday gift for me.

So, Umm, this is the part where I post all the totals for the people who really don't want to read the TR.

B:TR--28
Vu--3
AE--2
V2--2
RB--2
Demon--2
Viper--1
IW--1
SUF--1

GD--1
Orbit--1

Casuallties--1 (you'll have to read the TR if you want to find out more information)
Priceless scared look of a first timer little girl on Vu when there was a mispark  --1 (no, I didn't put this in the TR)

EDIT: this must be an evil topic. Topic number 6666 (look at the address bar  ) Oh, and a crew member from Batman said Brian Urlacher was there today. She said she shook his hand and everything.

Happy birthday.

Nice trip Report. Sorry to hear about your pop tart. May it rest in peace.

I plan to go tonight for my birthday, that is if it stops raining.

When did that happen??? I rode at 4 and 9 and there was only 1 train on the track both times!

Altough the other was sitting on the transfer track.

^I believe it was at about 2:00 or so. They were actually only running one train with people on it. (I'm assuming they were doing test runs.) Also, about half of the seats had the "Next Seat Please" sign on them.

To RBull4Life, happy birthday. Hope your day is as good as mine was.

Nice TR and Happy birthday, sorry about the pop tart. That's cool both red trains were running. Do they run smoother?

Well there is one red train that is running and it's the new one, you can tell because it doesn't have the white stripes anymore.

I was also there that day and would like to add some notes:
1 I went on eagle in the late afternoon and only one train was running. The other was on the transfer track

2 It seemed as if the trims were off on eagle going into the helix

3 Demon had a REDICULOUSLY long line like 20-30 minutes at least.

I was there the 19th too. Happy B-Day (mine was 18th). We had a nice day (got in all the coasters-except Vu and Viper. Saw Brian Urlacher though. We were waiting for front row on Bull and it was our turn but we had to wait because they put him on front row by himself. That was kinda cool. Spent most of the afternoon at HH. Our first time there. HH is awesome! Much better than Soak City at Cedar Point even. Loved the Tornado. All the slides were pretty cool, except for the one I almost got stuck in and was almost slammed by the person behind me! Had a blast at HH though. BTW sorry to hear about your pop tart. Maybe it's in lost and found a you can get it next time you're there :D
