Wow, today wasn't so much of a getaway from the real world, but it was still fun in it's own way. So much crap happened today it's not even funny (okay, so some of it was funny). First, we get a late start as always with my dad. Then he's backing out of the driveway, and I said something, and he got too close to the fence and looked at me and then broke the sideview mirror off. The same one that got broken off for the same reason a couple years ago by my brother. He blamed it on me at first too.
Traffic was kinda bad. We got there around 11:50 and parked in the back parking lot. We started the day off with a ride on Viper. 15 minute wait, and we got right into the back row since no one was waiting for back row. Great ride as always. Then we went to Bull, about a 10 minute wait for back row.
Then something else went completely wrong, I mentioned it to some people but won't mention it on here... We then went on Deja Vu. 25 minute wait for 7b. I will never go one day without riding this ride when it's open. Next up was Eagle Blue, about a 5 minute wait. I've yet to go on red side this year. Next we waited 5 minutes to get on Iron Wolf. Here something funny happens. So I'm in the last row on the right side, and we're about to go into the brake run, and i had my hands up and my arm went out to the side just a bit and out of nowhere I felt a tree branch smack my wrist. It hurt for a second but I was laughing afterwards. I thought I was going to bleed but it just left a funny red mark that went away within minutes.
V2's line was unbearable so we skipped it and went to BTR. This was actually only a 15 minute wait, despite some of the switchbacks being used. We went in back row and had an awesome ride. We decided to go back on and had another great ride. We were heading back to the car when we noticed King Chaos's line was really short, so we hopped onto that. I love this ride's program but I wish it had water jets.
After going out to the car, we went by Whizzer which was testing. We waited it out and it ended up opening a few minutes later, so we walked right onto back row. Then we went in line for Viper, which was stuck on the lift. Once it got unstuck, when it came to the final brakes, I think it got stuck there, and the other train got stuck on the lift too. Maintenance then came, and it was working right afterwards. Had some awesome airtime on that ride...
Then we got in line for Bull. They were testing it because somebody puked on the teal train. It always seems to be the teal train... I have no idea how long we waited, it must have been around 30 minutes because it took a while. Next was Giant Drop. While waiting I stepped in gum. Speaking of which, there were a lot of ignorant and stupid morons today. Especially one in particular who I shall mention later. After the ride, I wanted to go on again, so we did.
We went to Eagle next. This was practically a walk on because we got to go in front of some people to go in the back row. In the back seat we found some change. Before we got on though some other crap happened. Next was a less than 5 minute wait for Iron Wolf.
Then we went on V2, 10 minute wait for 2nd to last row. I guess if you're in the very back this ride's not so boring, for me anyway. Then Batman, 5 minute wait for back row. Then we got in line for SUF, which looked as if it was broken down because a lot of people were leaving the line. It was working by the time we got in line. Okay, get this. While in line, this girl a few people in front of us leaves the line. Then she comes back moments later. Again, she leaves, and comes back. She left one mroe time, and as she was coming back, she told everyone "Don't worry, I'm not cutting!" but she still ended up going on the ride. See, this is why they need security EVERYWHERE in the park. People like her should be shot.
Then we decided to ride Orbit. Fun ride. Then we went over to Bull again. Once we got in line, they issued a severe thunderstorm warning, and a ton of people left the line. They took a train off as well. Almost right before we were aboout to get on, they closed due to lightning. We waited quite a long time in Bull's station for it to open back up. Around 9:30 it opened up. We went on it 4 times, which was pretty awesome. One of those times I looked backwards the whole ride. Looking backwards makes the ride quite more fun, and a little scary on the first drop.
Today was pretty fun, but at the same time I felt like I was in hell.
You probably wouldn't want to visit SFStL anyway. Mr. Freeze probably isn't going to run this year. You forgot to mention that at 4:00, and 6:00 they had Tony Hawk in the parking lot next to Hurricane Harbor. It took a lot of cars away. I have also seen preferred parking around the bus area. That's a reason for the backlot even being open even though it was somewhat (as I was told) crowded back there.
You stayed at Raging Bull's line for about an hour and a half doing nothing??? The least you could have ridden was Chubasco in that area. Last time, it was horrible in the rain. There are all these people in the Chubasco ride area just so they could get away from the rain. It's a ride, and if you are affecting it, get out of the ride area. It was so disturbing.
During they "off time," I found rides to go on. I was on D Vu' when just about 5 minutes later, I would have missed my ride, but I got it.
My totals were around this.
D Vu': 9
Chubasco: 1
Giant Drop: 1
V2: 6 (Best guess) (Most of them were after 9:00. One was before.)

"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
there were a few times when i walked by on tuesday when the line looked diasterous. we never went on that one that day, or at least i don't remember it.
