the title of this report seems weird, but there's a real purpose, let me explain....
we arrived at the park at our earliest this year, about 8:45. Immediately, you could notice Tony Hawk's equipment in the parking lot. I was excited, knowing i wanted to see the show today. I like skateboarding, it's cool, though i don't skateboard. while waiting to be let in, many young boys had their skateboards taken away by security....if they wanted they could carry the board in, not the wheels.
After getting into the park, we headed to the Vu side of the carousel. They let us go way too early, and we walked, yes, we walked to Vu. We rode 1B for first ride. we decided to wait in the station, and we got a reride. then we left the station, went around, and rode again.....(by the way, i saw Trailblazer Tony there, tony, you were wearing a red shirt and with your girlfriend in 1a second ride). Then we went back around, and this is where the first part of the title of this TR comes in. The girl in the seat i was supposed to sit in came back into the station, and she had cut her nose on the green bar on the harness. There was blood all over her clothes, and the back of the 6A seats. She was brought to First Aid, and the crew spent around a half hour cleaning it up. Then, i had to sit in that seat for the next ride.
I don't exactly remember the ride order from 11 to 12. the lines were fairly short, which was nice.
we took a break, and headed to subway for lunch. mhmm...yummy sub.
then we got back to the park, and rode several more rollercoasters, as well at the train one and a half times.
At 2:30, danhockey and i were going to go ride Sky Trek Tower, until we saw the incredibly huge line forming for the 4:00 show of the Tony Hawk Boom Boom Huck Jam. We wanted to to go that one, so we hopped in line. The line went from the way back corner of Space Shuttle America, all the way back to the entrance of that area. We got in at 3:00, and then proceeded to wait another hour in the blistering sun for the show. I had planned to take pictures with my camera phone, but literally, one minute before the show started, my camera phone died....gah!
Anyways, the show started, and i actually liked it. There were four skateboarders, one bmx rider, and two motorcross guys, and an australian host, who dan and i voted was a bit annoying. The show was between 45 minutes and 1 hour, and afterwards, most of those people left the park. I headed back to the car to put all my free stuff from the sponsers away. We headed back to the park, where the line for the 6:00 show was being let in.
We ate dinner at panda express and the great american hot dog, and then got back to the coaster riding. Being a show nerd, i wanted to see Bugs Bunny's Nighttime Spectacular too, so after riding eagle, viper, bull, and vu, we headed back to hometown square for the preshow. Though there his a hype about this being a new show, it's the same preshow as the last few years, with a new song and new cosumes.
we didn't watch the parade, but we did head back for a few more rides. once more on viper, and we went back to vu to finish over what was left of the night. we got in line for our second to last ride, and we were told the line was closing.....it was five minutes before closing..we were confused. Some ride op told the grouper this was the last ride of the night...
we rode the ride, and on the way in, we got a mispark. the mechanic was up, and the ride was fixed in ten minutes. After that, since more people had entered the line, we got a reride, which leads to my last part of the title...miscatch.
The ride started well, no problems, except for my aching side. We got though the entire cycle, until....dun dun dun, we had a tower one miscatch. we went zooming back though the station. this was the first time i've ever had anything like a miscatch on this ride, so i was screaming and laughing....and every time we went back and forth, we waved at the lead, who we had told we'd get a miscatch to prior to riding.
The ride finally slowed, though i wasn't complaining. We got off, and headed to the gift shops, which were still open. we caroused the gift shops until 10:45ish, and then headed home.
This really had nowhere to fit in, but i was a bit annoyed today from seeing several people disrespect our park. I don't know if i'm just crazy, but when i stopped to go to the bathroom yesterday, i saw a little boy walking around in the flower beds by the grand music hall. He was walking ON THE FLOWERS! the lady he was with told him not to do it, and he looked at her and said " i don't care, i can do what i want!". I guess i'm just stupid, but if you saw your son/cousin/friend's kid stomping around on the flowers, i think you'd say something. I don't know why this bothered me, but it did, and this isn't the only instances i've seen where something along those lines happened at the park. kinda random, i know.
so in a day of blood, sweat, boom booms and miscatches, all went fairly well. crowds were light, with most leaving after seeing Tony Hawk, which left a good night. It was sweltering hot in the afternoon (even hotter while standing in a mosh of people to see the skateboarders). Good day, good day....
The kids actions would bother me also as the park spends time and money to make it look nice for its guests.
If that was my kid his a** would hurt for a long time, but my guess if the kid was acting in that manner he likely isnt supervised/disciplined as much as he should be!!!!
Thats weird i just got in line for Vu when that littler girl was leaving vu's exit, i saw the blood all over her, but i wanted 1A and the ride op told my bro, and because, where to sit, i was disapointed, still a great ride.
i had to sit in her seat next ride, and it smelled awful....the mix of envy cleaner and bleach was nasty! Some of the undried bleach dripped on my pants too....gah!
I was also there, here are my highlights
--I was finally allowed to drive there without my dad in the car
--Reached my goal of 100 rides on Demon in the season
--Got a mispark and miscatch on Vu (last 2 rides)
--Got up close and took many pics and vids of BBHJ (if you want any, let me know)
Coasters Ridden: 131 Top 5: Maverick, El Toro, Voyage, Fahrenheit, Dominator
^I too finally got to drive there without my parents in the car for the first time, and you know what happened, I got another FREAKIN TICKET!!
Anyways, yes LaffFan, you definitely saw me, i was in 1A with my best friend for the second Vu ride of the day, i didn't say high cause i wasn't 100 percent sure it was you guys (or at least until i heard Dan say Miscatch before they even said the spiel over the intercom). Anyways, it was an awesome day, lines were really sparadoc, the line was a 5 minute wait for Raging Bull, but yet 1.5 hours for Superman! I didn't get it.
Glad you had a great day as well, next time you might have to approach me since i'm wild, but very shy.
Oh, and did you happen to see that Deja Vu break down where it was stuck halfway up the boomerang loop?!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
^It's Superman Ultimate Flight. What do you expect???? People except for a few people on here don't think it's boring like me. V2 is another one in this category.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

so.... my friend didn't get her liscense until she was in college. also, some parents, like mine were when i first got my liscense, are nervous about letting their kids drive alone, especially in long distances.
I've had a license since i was 16. The problem is that I bought my first and only car in january my junior year and it broke by april. Then, i had to pay for college downtown so a car was not a necessity. Therefore, this was the first time my parents didn't need the family car and i was able to take it.
