SFGAm May 22nd

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby chiatrain on May 22nd, 2006, 8:43 pm
I just came back from the park. The weather was cooperative today. The crowd was minimal, more cars than buses.

I got in a few rounds of Vertical Velocity and Batman to start off the morning. After that, I headed to Iron Wolf and American Eagle, which was running only the Blue side.

Then, it was time for Demon. The tunnel lights are now on for the Demon.

After a few laps on the Demon, it was time for Raging Bull. I noticed a few mechanics taking a few clamshells from the Red train. While on the ride, I only saw rows 8 and 9 being affected.

The line for Raging Bull never ended at the queue house, and later in the afternoon the line was even shorter.

Making my way back to the front of the park, I noticed a few Justice League characters were out today.

Sky Trek Tower seemed to close early, as it was at the top for most of the afternoon.

Making my way into Mardi Gras, I saw King Chaos was open. Earlier in the morning, it was on the list of closed rides. I got in a few rides here, too.

Although I did not go on it today, the longest line of the day seemed to be Ragin' Cajun.

It was time for more Batman, which was a 1-cycle wait.

I was hoping to get more rides on Vertical Velocity, but it seemed to have troubles this afternoon.

I ended the night with Raging Bull and Giant Drop.

Totals:
Demon: 5
Giant Drop: 2
Viper: 6
Superman: 4
American Eagle-Blue: 1
Raging Bull: 12
Whizzer: 4
Batman: 5
Vertical Velocity: 4

King Chaos: 4

That's excellent to hear that they are painting RB's trains still.

I'n glad they are taking their time on it.

Yeah, there were a lot of things closed today, but it didn't matter because the park was dead the whole day. Longest wait was 10 minutes for American Eagle blue side.

All of the Bull red train back rests and restraints were being replaced during the day, and teal train had totally new ones which were very very nice.

What flats were open, or didn't you go near any??

I went today as well. Got a ton of rides. At one point during the day the line for Bull was through the queue house and at the entrance, it was weird though because it died down fast. At the end of the day Bull was a 1-2 train wait for row 9 (only row that matters to me).

King Khaos opened late as stated, and Condor seemed to be open all day (I could be wrong).

SUF was a station wait for the better part of the day, and Bull's line averaged halfway up the stairs.

Also I've never seen so many high school kids/physics students in one place before. It seemed like they made up a good portion of the crowd.

Front lot was maybe a tad over half full...lots of busses and such however.

Good first trip of the season for me, nice to be back. Going again on Thursday :)
