Six Flags Great America 5-14

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Since I don't go much, I'll post a quick TR with my thoughts.

Got to the park in about an hour, it was rainy to begin with, thank god for the Bring a Friend free day, I got in for free. We hit up the left side of the park first..

Superman was not open at the time so we went on through the park, we got onto Ragin Cajun for our first ride. After that we went to batman, the station was empty. We got on the front row, and re rode it three times in the front row. After that we rode Vertical Velocity in the second row, again there was no wait.

By now we realized how empty the park was. We double backed towards the front of the park and rode Superman. No wait.

We walked over to South West Terr and rode the rides along the way. Whizzer was a walk on, we got to SW Terr and rode Viper. Viper had an empty station. The trains were a little squeaky. We were able to reride viper two times.

We rode Raging Bull after, it too had an empty station. We got 3 rerides in the back of the train, but I opted out of the last ride.

We rode giant drop, no wait.

American Eagle Red, no wait except it was a 1 train operation.

Iron Wolf, we waited the longest all day for this as they needed to clean up one of the trains.

Vertical Velocity again, no wait.

Batman, no wait.

Viper again no wait, same with Raging Bull again.

Last ride of the day was two back to back rides on AE blue.

For likely being the sole day I visit the park this year, it was a great day. I was able to ride all the roller coasters in operation except Spacelys. We rode a few assorted flat rides. There were no lines for any of the coasters all day. Near mid afternoon when the sun came out, it seemed as if the park was a little more busy, but there was still empty stations all over the park.

I got to the park at 10 and left at 5, so overall a good day.

A little side note for you park stalkers  .. DeJaVu's catch car was moving. Revolution was closed as was King Chaos. There was a little too much train shake-age in Batman's second loop however. :?

The Characters were out in force today, which was nice. For someone who has not spent much time in the park since the 04 season, there have been some nice improvements.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
