May 13 - New Camera! Better Photos!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby [jonrev] on May 13th, 2006, 7:25 pm
My brother and I left at about 9:45 for the park. The weather was total crap. I began thinking the park would be closed due to weather but when we got close to the park I saw the catch-cars coming down the Giant Drop tower.

First ride of the day was...

This little car was a pile of s*it! It only moved in reverse!
Image

Next ride was Space Shuttle America
Image

Tornado looks almost done. They have the slide that drops from the tower assembled in the parking lot.
Image

Next was Sky Trek Tower, where I got these photos:

DejaVu was AGAIN closed so I took my anger out on the "This Ride is Closed" sign...
Image

Got 1 ride on Demon and it looks like the lights in the tunnel are off for good.

Superman has a mustache?

Raging Bull was next. The back row is INSANE!!!
Image

Papas was at Giant Drop today.
Image

YAY, It's a train with nobody on it!
Image

Firehouse Pizza... Now featuring Papa John's (f*cking expensive) pizza!
Image

Since Steve likes guitars alot we stopped and I let him listen to a band playing in Mardi Gras for awhile.
Image

Next was Batman and I finally heard them play In my Memory and Kiss by a Rose in the station (I've never heard them played there).

^This makes a REALLY good desktop.

Hooray for a Fiddler's Fling...

Steve about to enjoy the ride (even though it doesnt look like it)
Image

AHHHHH!!!! THAT "THIS RIDE IS CLOSED" WONT LEAVE ME ALONE!
Image

Orbit was next. It looks great with the new lights (maybe they can do that with the Demon tunnel)
Image

Next was the Whizzer since it had finally opened after being closed due to rain. I got a reride in the back row. I dont know why I took so many

"Back in the Day", this was called the Hot Shoppe:

Condor had no line (again) so we rode it.

Next ride was Space Shuttle America again

Last ride of the day was Hometown Fun Machine where I saw rct2wizard360 and SFGAm Shockwave.

The End! This camera is awesome!!

The day was pretty good except for the weather. It started to get sort of crowded later in the day. We had to leave at 3:30 because Steve hag a guitar lesson at 4. I would have stayed the rest of the day if I could.

Revy, KC, and DJV are still closed. :(

I think I remember the 1st few years the park was open they used this building to sell root beer in there for 10 cents. You walked in ordered your root beer and downed it right there. (please note I was 5 years old, so I am going by old memories that may not be fully correct. Any one else remember that?)

I think superman looks way more super with a mustache. He looks more like Zorro, instead of a some guy in spandex. *shrug* Vandlism is the best when its actually humorous like that.
