SFGAm - 6/7 - Shortest TR ever?

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Do I Know You on June 7th, 2003, 9:10 pm
I arrived at the park to do one thing and one thing only: ride Superman again. I got there at about 7PM and quickly got in line. The line was just out of the queue. After I got throught the first set of the maze thing, the ride got stuck on the chainlift. About 20 people left the line and stayed in the exit. Five or ten minutes later, those people hopped over the rail and got back in line. Some employee just told them to stop doing that, even though they should've been ejected from the park as the signs say. I couldn't decide between a front row ride or a back row. I just randomly chose the back row. It was about 5 minutes from the stairs to the train. I got on. For some reason, this was the best ride I've ever had on it. There seemed to be more G's and it went faster. I got back off and reluctantly headed to Condor, since those rides always make me sick. To my surprise, I got off begging for more! It wasn't nauseating at all. Then I went home. Even though I only got two rides in, I had a great time.(I didn't walk by Deja Vu, so I can't update you on anything)

Do I Know You, glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself even though you only got in two rides. Condor is a nice ride during the night, with all the lights. Most of the flats/coasters at SFGAm I'm fine with, but Chubasco and Fiddler's Fling do pack in a punch now and then. Even the IMAX film at Pictorium gives some of my friends a headache. Those line jumpers probably would have been ejected from the park if the incident were earlier in the day.

The park does look good at night, and many of the rides are fun to ride at night, too. I don't know about Space Shuttle America being a good/better ride at night. Maybe the lines are shorter, but it seems as if it would have nothing to do with the ride's effect.

Except those darn "additional cost attractions." SFGAmfreak4life, Roaring Rapids is amazingly fun at night. Whenever the park is open untill 10 from 9 30 until 10 I like to mini-marathon it. I usually get about 6-7 rides in.

Yeah, Roaring Rapids is great at night, my friends and I rode it right before the park closed 5 times in a row. We got pretty drenched though.
