Read to Succeed is finally over and it definitely showed when I visited this evening. Only a slight portion of the backlot had cars in it but since I arrived at about 5:30pm, I parked in the front lot.
Made my way over to Hurricane Harbor and showing up at early evening means no waiting in line to get in it. Parked my butt at Saltwater Sal's and had a brew. I noticed that the palm trees are pretty much green again so the park is finally doing something about it since we are still in a drought.
Only coasters that I rode tonight were AER and Batman. All the other coasters had somewhat of lines but nothing crazy. Just didn't want to stand in the heat for a long period of time.
I am still amazed at how much the rideops are really into their jobs. Even on the flat rides, they were trying to pump up the crowds.
Before leaving , I stopped into the FLAGS store near the entrance and they were fresh out of Mr. Six Bobbleheads. A buddy of mine wanted one but he is going to have to do without for now.
Also noticed in that store that they are selling Kingda Ka toy coaster sets. Wow, they wasted no time marketing this record breaker even at an SF park 1000 miles away.
Well, that's all folks.
Thanks for reading.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Yeah, it definetly showed today. The crowds were well...there were none. Awesomeness right there.

Well, most are. Depends on the person. I've given up trying to make cool spiels, no one likes mine. Poor me.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
The ride ops were cool when I went(last Friday). On Batman they were singing "Are you happy and you know it clap your hands," saying "Mike Jones," (haha loved that one), and singing BINGO. It pretty much entertained everyone eventhough the line was a 5 minute wait.

What is your spiel?
It was for the carousel. I basicly said to name your animal, it will be your best friend, and things like that. For like a week or 2 guests liked it then it just got to where only 1 person here or there was laughing. After a month of it, I'm gave it up.

First of all, I would find that very annoying. Secondly, while it's awesome with the new spiels and enthusiasm, singing a somewhat kiddish song on the microphone would indicate (to me) boredom. Hmmm...bored operators, what could that lead to
