SFGAm August 2 - DejaVuGurl strikes again... and again.

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on August 3rd, 2005, 12:44 am
I broke Deja Vu twice today.

The day started off kinda slowly. We got there sometime after 11, my dad decided to drop me and Jason off at the drop off. First went on Deja Vu, 2 sets of switchbacks were open. We were about to get on in a few minutes when the ride broke down. It didn't miscatch, but the train was going down the 2nd tower really slowly. It was down for about 20 minutes. So overall it was a 1 1/2 hour wait. Great ride in 1A.

Next, we went on Viper. 20 minute wait for 1:3, great ride as always. Then we used a fastlane on Bull, since one queue house was being used. Only a 5 minute wait for back row. Next we went to Eagle, waited 20 minutes for Blue, last row to leave the station. We also went on Red in front row, I swear I think I'll ride front row only on AER because it's so awesome.

Next was Iron Wolf, got right on with fastlane. As always this was a good ride. Then we went on BTR with fastlane, 5 minute wait for back because the crew was nice and quick, Very fast and awesome ride... :) Then went on King Chaos, not even a wait. Then we went on Condor, cause I really like that ride.

Then we went on Whizzer twice in front row with fastlane. 5 minute wait both times. They were using 3 trains. Nice two rides, although the second time hurt my arms. Next ride was Deja Vu. Now just 1 set of switchbacks was open. Still about an hour wait though because people are stupid... making load times longer. Plus it broke down for about 5 minutes for soem unknown reason. New speil... "Are you ready to ride the best Vekoma in the park? Enjoy your ride on Spacely's Sprocket Rockets" Anyways, we got on in row 1A. Going up the 2nd tower, I had the strangest feeling we would get stuck. Right at the top, we didn't go down at first. The catch car carried us down slowly... I can finally say I've been stuck on a roller coaster. We were stuck for a little over 10 minutes. It was nice being stuck, and for that we got exit passes. Apparently it was the 3rd time it happened today, and I noticed the train was running faster today.

Since I just could not wait to get on again... I wait for it to open back up. 45 minute wait for 1A again. When I got on a ride op I don't know said to me "DejaVuGurl strikes again!" and he told me how back row is better... lol. Once again, great ride. We were pressed for time and had one fastlane ride to use up. So we ran to Raging Bull. Again, only a 5 minute wait for back row. It was running great today... and I kinda paid off for not going on last time.

We waited in line for Demon, 20 minute wait for back row... great night ride. Then we took a 15 minute break and relaxed. It was 40 minutes to park closing. We decided to use the exit passes on Deja Vu. Got to go in row 1B, sweet ride. Had to wait 15 minutes though because of a lot of people using the disabled exit passes. We waited a few minutes before getting back in line, and then got back in line at 9:50. I got paranoid for a second when they said DV had to cease operation, but it was only somebody getting sick. Waited probably 30 minutes for 1B. 2nd to last train of the night. We also got last train of the night because we were able to fill in row 2B. Awesome way to end a day at SFGAm...

Crowds were lighter than I had anticipated, so that was good. Deja Vu had plenty of problems today, but I still got in 6 rides which I was very happy about. :)

Ride Totals:
Vu: 6
Bull: 2
BTR: 1
Viper: 1
IW: 1
KC: 1
Whizzer: 2
Demon: 1
Condor: 1
AEB: 1

Total: 18

It is called a retraction. If the train is going too fast or too slow, the catch car won't be able to catch the right spot on the train... Basically, it went up the 2nd tower, and then it was brought back down slowly so it was stuck on the bottom between the loop and 2nd tower..

That's sad that V2 isn't open yet. I'm glad you had gotten on six rides with D Vu' without a fastpass. When Demon is 20 minutes, I go ahhhhh!! Did Jester's have it's longest line of 2 people yesterday (Ha Ha)?

Rusty888, what did you get on? Did you have a fastpass too?

Then went on King Chaos, not even a wait.    The people have spoken.

Vu was running a lot faster, I had by far my best ride on it yesterday because of how fast it ran, I didnt feel any forces or anything and we flew right threw the cobra roll going backwards.
