Got to the park around 9:15, entered with Mike Jeff and Eric. We all got first dispatch on Vu, 1a and 1b. Headed over to Eagle, empty stations, things were looking good. W R O N G. While on the Eagle helix (at around 10:20am) we noticed a FULL front lot and a steady stream of cars exiting from the highway onto Grand Ave. We knew it was a matter of time. We all got three rides on Eagle and quickly headed to Bull where we got a ride with a straightaway wait. Great ride.
We continued to wander over around Yukon Territory and got on IMS. After that all hell seemed to break loose. It seemed like 20,000 people instantly entered the park. Batman was using all three long switchbacks and was overflowing. Cajun was full and overflowing, SUF was a joke, full switchbacks with a line now forming near Rue Le Dodge. Bull had both queue houses full and overflowing, Giant Drop was using switchbacks and wrapping around to the entrance. And get this: The American Eagle was using switchbacks in the tent. I couldn't believe it. Kept walking around, Iron Wolf was full and overflowing. As a matter of fact EVERY ride in the park had a FULL queue including Jester's Wild Ride. Batman was now in the ghetto switchbacks using the second entrance. We got a ride on Whizzer with a 25 minute wait, but only because it broke down and a ton of people left.
We rode the train and hit Taco Bell for a LONG lunch. We found a 2/3rds full overflow lot, parked up to the very back. I mean I wasn't even mad, that's amazing. I checked my phone, yep this IS a wednesday although it has many familiar symptoms of a Saturday. Got back around 4 and hung out for a little bit in SWT...messed around over near the water blasters in Mardi Gras.
By this time Demon had opened, but of course, it had a FULL queue and was overflowing behind Demon Nachos. We then took 3 straight laps around the park on the train...and rode Condor sometime in there. At night Eric Mike and me got a ride on Bull and we all ended with Vu.
Crowds: Extremely Heavy
Weather: Nice, 70s, too cold for most to go to HH
Although the park probably had over 40,000 people in it today was still a good time. It was fun looking at all the rediculous lines. And wait, there's more! Expect a photo update from EaglesFan344 with pictures of some of these lines soon.
Can you say, Read to Succed? It is getting close to the last days, so they come piling into the park now, expect crowded days from here on to the end of next week.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Wow, that busy on a weekday... I think I'm gonna wait a few weeks or for a cruddy day to go again. I don't have the patience to wait in a full Demon que or in the AE tent.
