Hello ladies and gentlemen, my family and I have been to all your favorite park (LoL), Cedar Point. So, I would like to point out what I liked, and what I didn't. Some of the names might be wrong because I don't really pay attention to the names except rollercoasters.
Just to say, I didn't get a chance to go to Soak City and I'm fine with that.
Best/Awesome Coasters: (You might be suprised)
Top Thrill Dragster(You know what it is.)-This is the number 2 ride for me at Cedar Point. It's probably tied with Mr. Freeze, or V2 because it's the same type. I like to have a lot of ties on my list of rides I like. Baby I'm ready to go is the song they play over again at the station. This was the longest line at the park. Rides: 4
Mantis(Stand-up)-It's a stand-up that has many people complaining about it, but I didn't. It has four different inversions instead of IW's 2. Great ride! Rides: 5-10
Raptor(Steel Inverted)-It's like BTR but bigger. I like BTR and Raptor the same. Rides: 6
Blue Streak(Wooden)-Awesome drops and hills. It might be Cedar Point's first coaster, but it's great!! PTC!!! Rides: 5-10
Gemini(Hybrid wooden supports and steel track)-It really reminds of Arrow "mine train" track, so it might be Arrow. I would check, but I don't feel like it. It also has awesome hills and drops. It is pretty tall. Rides: 7
Wicked Twister(Impulse)-It's V2 without a straight track. It just has two twists. I only rode it once because SFGAm is very similiar and Gaugea Lake has Steel Venom (formerly Superman ??the Escape??) Rides: 1
IFFY Rollercoasters:
Wild Cat(Steel sitdown)-It reminds me of the Galaxy that used to be at Santa's Village. Rides: 1
Disaster Transport(Bobsled)-Similiar to Rolling Thunder, but indoors. We went to Alaska. Whooppee!! I still remember Rolling Thunder being better though. Rides: 2
Corkscrew (Arrow???Looper)-It reminds of Demon, but worse!! It has a bunny hill, a loop, and two corks. Rides: 1
Poor/Boring Rollercoasters
Mean Streak (Wooden)-Yawn, yawn. This ride doesn't do much as in drops. Rides: 2
Cedar Mine Train (Arrow Mine Train)-I was very disappointed with this one. I was expecting it to be like SFStL or SFOG. I was wrong. It doesn't have that crazy drop, and it only has two lift hills. Rides: 1
Iron Dragon (Arrow Suspended)-This ride is like whooppe do. It swings around. Rides: 1
Millenuim Force (You know this.)-I see this ride as being RB. RB bores me, and so does this. Rides: 1
Magnum (You know this.)-I just can't see the greatness in this ride. I would trade a flat for this ride. Rides: 2
Other rides ridden:
Troika (like Triple Play)-This was a disappointment compared to SFGAm. I usually make sure I get on this at SFGAm, but I've only ridden this once at CP.
Intamin Gyro Tower (I forgot the name)- Sky Trek Tower is better because this is so small. Sky Trek Tower is also air conditioned.
Max Air-This a Huss ride that seats 50 people and goes back and forth high in the air. It circlular, and it spins not that fast. Good ride!!
Thuder River-This is a rapids type ride. There are three waterfalls that just drench you if you luckily go under them. The rapids are pretty poor though. These are not SFGAm waterfalls where they make you not go into them. They go over the raft. It was fun.
Spider (okay) Matterhorn (It's similiar to the Haybaler, (good ride) and it was packed on Saturday), Super Himalaya (Whooppe, a himilaya), Small Boat (brown color) Ride (You don't get wet!!), Power Tower (Whoppee a shot put ride!)
Finally, the best ride Cedar Point has is . . . . . . .
Chaos-This ride reminds of the Zipper. I wish it was longer though. Its only 1:45 which isn't too bad if the ride didn't have to set for at least 30 minutes before turning you upside-down.
On Saturday, it was pretty packed. We didn't get the park to at least 4:00 though. On Sunday, it was pretty empty, and we got on two Dragster rides before 10:30. On Saturday late night, it took about 40 minutes for one ride.
So, in my opinion Cedar Point is not the best theme park out there. Just because they have the most coasters doesn't mean that all of them are great. I really liked only 6!!! At SFGAm, it is also 6. So, for really liking coasters, they are tied. However, the flats at SFGAm are more abundant/better. As I said before, I think SFOG has the best coasters (except for Ninja), but have poor customer satisfaction, and less flats.
So, I'm really happy I have SFGAm to go to because it's near me. It doesn't have 16 coasters, but six of them are great, and one of them is my very favorite coaster. The flats are kept up, and don't squeak such as on Troika, Troika, Troika.
As for announcements, I really hate how they have to boast about what every coaster does. Just let me ride it!
That's all for now!! Thanks for reading. On June 14, look for a Gaugea Lake trip report.
