SFGAm 5/30 - Nice Day

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby DejaVuGurl1203 on May 30th, 2005, 10:06 pm
Yeah, today was decent. Had my suit on in case I had the urge to try out the water park. Got into the park at about 10:30 and headed straight to Vu. One set of switchbacks was open, and it was a 25 minute wait for 1B. It would have been maybe 10 minutes longer, but I got to go in front of some people since I was a single rider. Awesome ride. Then went on Demon, 5 minute wait for 5:2 yellow train. Good ride, I like Demon a lot better this season for some reason. Orbit was tempting but I decided to hit it later.

I wanted to walk around HH and take pictures, so I went in. Looks awesome, and I really wanted to try out some of the slides and stuff but I would rather do that with friends than by myself. Then I got in line for Viper, 25 minute wait for row 1:3. Once again, completely awesome airtime. Yes, Viper had a grouper. Then I got in line for Bull, which had 2 sets of switchbacks open. 15 minute wait for back row, great ride, except I got a slight headache. I think somebody got sick on the teal train, like right after I got on because they sent out about 4 empty trains and it looked as if they were cleaning the teal train. About 10 minutes later they were sending out empty trains again already, thought it was a bit odd.

Then I waited a little over a half hour for Giant Drop. Got that same feeling in my stomach as I did last time I visited, and I think I know why. It's because I was leaning forward a bit. Great feeling, makes the ride better. I got some fries at Farmer's Market, and watched the Jug O' Jugglers. My parents left to go to McDonald's. Then I went to Eagle, 40 minute wait for front row Red. Blue was operating earlier, but not when I was over there. They were testing it a lot though. GREAT ride on Red though, the front is seriously amazing.

Went to Iron Wolf, and noticed the line was WAY shorter than I anticipated. 10 minute wait for back row! Awesome ride, I also like this ride a bit better than I did last season. Then I went over to V2. I had just gotten in line, and this lady came up to the line with a little girl, she checked the girl's height to see if she could ride. The lady takes her sunglasses off as she looks at me and says "Oh my, what are you doing here?!" I then realized it was my doctor! What a weird coincidence. She had a fastlane pass and she let me ride with her and her granddaughter! Sweetness. 5 minute wait for row 12. They were so scared to ride it, and on the ride I was just laughing so hard because it's funny when someone's so scared to ride something and they're screaming their head off on the ride.

Then went to Batman. After about 5-10 minutes of waiting it broke down. The breakdown lasted about 15 minutes. It was a 35 minute wait overall, for back row. Great ride, and met back up with my parents afterwards. Then I headed to King Chaos, this line was very short also. I waited one cycle to get on. I like this ride a lot more than last season for some reason. I walked right back on it 2 more times thanks to being a single rider! Had 3 great rides on it. Then I waited 40 minutes for SUF, back row. Great ride.

While heading into Hometown Square I ran into my doctor once again... I went on Orbit. I waited like 2 minutes to get on... I was about to get on when these ignorant kids and this older guy pushed me out of the way and took all the seats. I had to wait an extra 5 minutes... I was a bit angry, people piss me off. After that all I wanted to do was ride Vu until I had to leave... So I went on Vu, 35 minute wait for 1B. Went on again, another 35 minute wait for 1B.

I had a sudden urge to ride Eagle and Revolution... so I headed over there. Didn't feel like waiting for Revy, so I got in line for Blue. After 5 minutes I remembered that it only had one train, and I didn't have enough time to wait that long. I went to wait for Red instead. Got in front row in about 10 minutes. Amazing ride.

I ran back over to Vu... decided I definitely didn't have time to ride it again. I was disappointed. I went on Demon 3 times instead, all walk-ons. I had to leave at 8. Overall a pretty good day. The crowds weren't bad.

Seems like it. Get there early Amber! Must of been crowded if Vu already had 2 switchbacks.

BTW, Dan mentioned that Demon was running all 3 trains yesterday. Also, he said the atomic bowls appeared to have a 30 minute wait.

I was on the atomic bowls last night at 6pm with the line all the way to the bottom of the stairs. It only took like 15 min to get to the top. The life guards in the station rocks!

Glad, I went in Hurricane Harrbor on Sunday when it was like 65 and rainy out with no waits as opposed to what it was the next day :D.

Amber: I saw you yesterday coming off DV when I was going on but through the exit. I would have said hi if i recognized you right away. I was wearing a King Diamond shirt if you recall.

Since you mentioned Viper in your TR some moron climed over the fence in the ride area. The guy did it around 8:45 but luckily the one train was in the brake run and the other in the station. Security got the guy right away and hopefully he got arrested later on.

I saw you as well Nick (I think that's your name). I didn't really notice it was you until you just mentioned that you saw me. I remember seeing someone who looked like you with this guy I always see there, by Vu's exit. I think I also saw you by Demon around 8, not sure though.

That's crazy, but I'm not surprised somebody would do that.

I'm so bad... I took my camera on the 31st but did not actually take a picture all day. Good thing my sister in law took some!
