SFGAm 5/29/05 HURRICANE HARRBOR!

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby SfGaMownz on May 30th, 2005, 12:48 pm
Well so I went with my family as usual and as usual we didn't leave until about 11. On the way there on I-294 it was at a complete standstill and traffic was crawling for about 3 miles due to a car fire on the Interstate right by the Lamb's Farm exit. It was some old beater car and you could see the smoke miles away, when we got up to it, they were shovling all the ashes and burt metal and remains off of the shoulder and the car was being taken away that thing was really burned you could tell it used to be like an off white color but it was charcoal black now, so this made us not get to the park til about 12:45.

We went straight to Hurricane Harrbor, and the water was frezzing at first but you easily get used to it. I rode all the slides in 6 slide complex. The Green Tube slide that goes into the bowl is the best tube slide and I liked the Purple body slide better then the Blue one because it whips you around and has like cool final drop. The Wave Pool has waves for 5 minutes then 5 minutes off and so on. You can't even go to the 6 foot mark in the pool because of a rope, but the waves are pretty good.

I Rode the one family tube ride that is on the left side I forget what color it was and it was alright but the water was frezzing because it didn't heat up or something one of the lifegaurds said. The Wahoo Racers and Hurricane Mountain were close the whole time that I was there because they said the chlorine levels were off, and I don't think that they opened at all the whole day, I was disappointed because I really wanted to ride those racers but oh well theres always next time. I spent about 2 and half hours total in Hurricane Harrbor and I wasn't disappointed at all with what I rode, its a great addition.

After this I didn't even really feel like going on any rides but we had those Fastlanes that they give you when you get your season passes processed and they expired the next day so we had to use them. We went on Raging Bull and used the Fastlane which saved us about 4 minutes, and we waited like 5 minutes for 2nd row. Then we hit Batman which was about a 10 minute wait, we didn't use Fastlane since it would have really been pointless. Then we hit S:UF 3 times using Fastlane which was needed since it looked to be at least a 30 minute wait if not longer. We went back row once, 7th once and 6th once. We had to go because we were going to some BBQ or something and we still had another 2 rides on a Fastlane so we just gave it away.

Recap:
Hurricane Harrbor equals good
6 Slide Complex:
Best: Green and Blue
Worst: Teal because its to short and I flew out of my tube and smashed my elbow.
Raging Bull: 1 ride
B:TR: 1 ride
S:UF: 3 rides(already up to 19 on the season in only 2 visits)

Do elaborate, I never recieved any fast lanes and I purchased my pass at the park. :? I haven't even heard of them doing this.

Edit, I looked through my season pass booklet, and I saw the "Buy 2 Fastlanes get 1 free" -- Is this what your talking about?

They only gave the season passholders who reactivated the blue season pass in the mail free fastlanes, which is completely unfair to those who reactivated their season passes before this offer thing happened.

Yeah, thats how I got them they gave them to use when we brought in the passes that they mailed to use to reactivate. We got 12 rides too and we only bought 4 passes. They were little squares with 2 rides on each and we got 6 of them but they were only good until today which was the only downside to them.
