Columbus Day Recap 10/11/04

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Galvan on October 12th, 2004, 9:14 am
My Cousin,g/f and I left Joilet around 8am and headed to Great America, traffic for a Monday morning was decent and we got there at about 9:45 or so. Anyway at about 10:10 they finally dropped the chain, and we headed to Deja Vu first, Noticed it was not opened yet so we headed to Hellevator, pretty cool ride and the first time my g/f who doesnt really like heights went on it. Next over to Deja Vu Excellent ride but, my g/f liked it so she said, but didnt want to ride it again, interesting.

The line for Vu was short so i decided to go on again while my g/f and because went on Demon, Again an excellent ride.

Next it was over to Viper, since RB was only running 2 trains the line was pretty short, but w/ two trains i figured it would take a little while. Viper ride was great.

Next, it was over to American Eagle, however the ride was only running backwards so we skipped that and headed to Iron Wolf, backrow of course and the ride was very good.

Next it was over to V2 where my g/f and cousin again chickened out and an interesting event happened: There was a woman whom by many was precived to be metally challenged, who brought new definition to line jumping. I was waiting for row 2 and this woman, ran up the stairs, cut id say about 10 people waiting at the top of the stairs, asked people in row 1 if she could go to the front of the line, they didnt let her, and then came in row 2 where she cut me, and 3 other people in line. When the train came back into the station, she ran to row one and sat down and buckled herself in while another girl but her shoes in the storage bin. The girl was a little miffed at that, and was yelling at the ride-op lol.

Anyway, after V2 is was lunch time. After that over to Raging Bull which had probably the shortest line all day with 2 trains. Great Ride of course

Following that we headed to Sleepy Hollow 3D Haunted House, my g/f freaked at the clowns which was awesome (having my g/f freak out and scream to me anyway is funny as hell :D ) Next it was over to Necropolis which having been in there yesterday with Tom,Jason and Dave, i knew what to expect. Fun time there.

The rest of the day went like this: Another ride on V2 and RB then over to Eagle and I ended the day on Deja Vu.

Ride List 10/11:
RB: 2
V2: 2
DV: 3
GD: 1
AER: 1
Viper: 1

I also noticed a few interesting things i guess you could call them that, but Many rides had sups and park manager operating them. Raging Bull who had 2 trains running most of the day, had 3 running at night with several maintenance guys running the ride. No downtime what so ever for Deja Vu as well.

Sleepy Hollow Haunted House is a C-
The Haunted Mosoluim is a B+

Over all good trip.
