Well, we were finally in Cincinnati visiting relatives, and on Sunday, we were off to Paramount's Kings Island! It was sunny, hot, and very humid, with temps at about 90 all day. It was me, my dad, sister, brother, uncle, and two cousins.
Upon entering the park, my uncle and cousins headed of to Hanna Barbera Land, and the rest of us were off to the ropes at Action Zone. Whe the ropes dropped, my dad and brother went one way, while me and my sister ran to.....
Drop Zone
First cycle of the day, and what a way to start off the day! It takes forever to get the top. And boy did it wrack my nerves! Anyway, I really liked this one, and now Giant Drop will feel like nothing! I gave it a 10/10. After Drop Zone, I ran to catch my first ride ever on.....
Son Of Beast
After reading how terrible this ride is, I was totally prepared for the worst experience of my life. The cars are worse than I thought. They are tiny, and for the most part, uncomfortable. The trains do bounce a lot, but even so, I loved this ride!! It was fast, and furious! The loop was the best part, just because it is so weird to go upside down on a wooden coaster! I gave it 8/10. After seeing our On Ride Photo, we met up with everyone else, then hiked back to.....
Top Gun
Even though it takes forever to get to, I still like this ride. It goes pretty fast, and it's one of those rides that is just laughing good fun. My only complaint is the shortness of the ride. Oh well, I give it 7/10. Now, what always makes me look forward to Kings Island.....
The Beast
Though not a night ride, this ride was kickin @$$ and taking names!! Holy man was it fast, and totally out of control. It totally proved to me all over again why it is my favorite coaster in existence. The 25th aniversary video was really neat, and made the 30 min wait feel like 10 mins. (or maybe that was the efficient 3 train op

Vortex
Now this is a people eater! With a full que and three train op, the wait for this Arrow megalooper was no more than 20 mins! And the ride itself was running awesome! Not once did my head hit the OTSR, combined with massive air on the first drop, and a smooth ride, Vortex is my second favorite steelie in the park! Kinda makes me miss you know what ride

At this point we went out to the car to eat lunch. Upon arriving back in the park, we took a quick ride on....
Adventure Express
If there was ever a fun family ride out there besides the Whizzer, this is it. The theming is still pretty good(I thought). It is tame, while still maintaining that 'out-of-control' feeling. I give it 6/10. Now for the longest wait of the day....
Flight Of Fear
Holy man. You wouldn't think such an awesome ride would fit into this seemingly tiny building. Even though it tops out at 54mph, it is still a kick arse ride! The themed que makes the wait seem much less than it really is. This one scores a 10/10.
By now it was about 3:00, so we went to some shops for my sister, and along the way, stopped to watch the Sling Shot launch people into the air. We later stopped to watch the elephant squirt people at the Wild Thornberry log flume. We took a trip to the top the Eiffel Tower, and then a ride on the Viking Fury(swinging ship). We then tried out(for the first time).....
Backwards Racer
This ride was great! Airtime over every hill, and a very smooth ride. 8/10. We thought that since the backwards side was so smooth, that they may have fixed the forwards side, as it's been bad for the past two years.
Forwards Racer
Well we found out the hard way that that did not happen. The difference between the two was like night and day. Forwards was horrible. Rough, shuffeling, and poor tracking. It was the only roller coaster I've ever wanted off of before reaching the middle of the ride. My spine was now jammed, and neck sore. My youngest cousin loved The Beast, Vortex, and Son Of Beast, but ended up getting off of the Racer crying. And he wasn't the only one. Every train to come rolling in had people making faces of pain, and crying children. Score 2/10.
This was the only complaint I had all day. I eventually brought it to guest relations, where they said that for the past two seasons it has brought non-stop complaints about the rougness of the Forwards Racer. Hopefully they retrack it this winter.
Otherwise we ran through the Green Slime Zone(water maze)and then hit up Top Gun and Adventure Express before calling it a day. It was an awesome day at the park, even though it was very hot and pretty busy.
ALL employees were very friendly, and pleasant, and the park was kept clean.
Thanks for reading!
