Today I got a suprise My friend took me,and my sis to great america, Walk-Ons On nearly everything except raging Bull and Roaring Rapids. I did everything twice, three times or in Demon's case 12. I got to do a Mini-Marathon on Demon and V2. It was the greatest day I had there, but around 7:20 It started pouring out, then It ended and the coasters were upagain I got onto demon (front row) for my last ride and as soon as they dispatched the train, The rain started again harder than ever, I have never gotten wetter at great america even on water rides, The rain was stinging on the first drop and the corkscrews and the lift. I had a great day, but I would rather use my clothes for clothing instead of wet rags
All rides were open except
Deja Vu
Logger's Run
Ice Mountain Splash
East River Crawler

Well i went on 08/23/04 and you were lucky that only those rides were down.
On this day the following rides were down, DeJaVue,King Chaos,Orbit,Condor,Spashwater Falls ,East River Crawler,Blue side of American Eagle, slides and tubes in kids area's. For part of the day Giant Drop only used 3 ride vehicles and Raging Bull only 2 trains all day(waited about 50 minutes and the first que house wasnt even full, ride ops very slow).
The park was moderatly busy but seemed short of workers(Viper only had 2 op's running ride)and lines moved slowly.`
Bull was a 5-15 minute wait, 25min max. What suprised me was that yellow was on the transfer track, ERC was NOT open, Sorry! Viper had 2 ops running it. Trains moved well though, Viper was a walk-on 90% of the day. Ragin Cagin' only had 3 cars running. So even though there were about 100 people in line the wait was about 1 hour. It was a walk on when they added 3 more cars, this was around 3pm, Superman was attracting most people in the park, It had a 20 minute wait most of the day
When i have been on Viper i dont remeber only 2 ride op's. At least when i have ridden it, even in may or sept during slow times they have had 2 people checking restraints with the 3rd person in charge of dispatching the ride.

It's the East River Crawler, better known as the Giant Octopus right by Batman.

Only in the dead of summer do they use 3. One time Viper was breaking down a lot and I saw 4 ride ops. How does one more op make the ride better? It wasn't a mechanic either
If they have three ops, It really only makes the ride better if the op is used as a blocker for the station. Otherwise, they don't need it. Viper rarely stacks with 2 and it is just a waste of money.

It's the same as Whizzer. Instead of using 2 aux panels they'll use 1 and the panel. If they're going to run with 2 without stacking I think a grouper would be better for the third operator when they have him.
