2003

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby SFGAMNUT9302 on April 26th, 2003, 8:24 pm
Well, I just returned from advocate day and here is what I saw:*Power Alley is dead, parts of Power Dive are still in its former location. Queue still remains, but completely empty. Sign is down.* S:UF, well what can I say. Its a B&M Flyer. Nothing really to ohhh and awww about. It looked pretty cool, some testing being done. Queue finished, work is still being done on the station. Shock Wave Queue remains with a nice coat of new paint. Black top infront of the queue was ripped out, and a few large poles were in place. After Shock has been renamed to "Heros" and the little blue coaster with the guy on it is gone * Eagle's helix was nice and smooth! Red and yellow Trains were both running.* Many buildings have been repainted.*Shock Wave sits in the emp. parking lot with Power Dive.
Nothing to see here....

Yellow train on AE? Is this a mistype, or did they repaint it? If so, they should die!

Yea I knew that the East River Crawler was just going through a re-hab because one of my friends who works there told me. At first I thought that they were going to put a new flat ride in that spot but then he told me it was going through a very needed re-hab.

were they running trim brakes on AE? I know at the end of last year, they were not running them. I hope that they wont over trim the ride this year.EDIT:Did you get a park map, and if so, can you scan it?

I'm upset about the coasterdude too. That for me was one of the most rememberable things about Orleans Place. It was funny that the track that was on the shop was all messed up. If you tried making the car run the course it would never work. lol. I was mad when they changed the store name to After Shock. Oh well :(

No, I was also very upset to see the coaster Dude removed. It just seems pointless.

They could have just put a little Superman logo on the coasterdudes T-shirt or coaster car and it would have worked out perfect. :D

I just got my pass processed last tuesday and the carousel was repainted, it looked so cool! I noticed how bright it was right away, but I don't think they painted the roof.

Yeah the new paint was added last year, unless they re-painted it again, which I doubt they would.

Speaking of repainting... I'm hoping Deja Vu did (or will) get a little new paint... During Last Blast it's paint was so blotchy. Some parts were really flat (not pretty and shiny like the rest).

I myself hope they don't paint more of it, or paint all of it. What you're talking about, Corey, is what happend after they painted it.

Ohh... I see. Yeah, I don't want them to paint it more either then. Why do you think they even did it in the first place?
