Got 30 new coasters in on vacation!

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Started our trip east to PA. First stop was Dorney park. I went into the park on friday night 7-16 by myself for a few hours. Got Talon done and out of the way since my kids are not tall enough to ride. I did five coasters and many flat done in just over two hours. I got five rides on Talon which is now my favorite Inverted.

Went back to DP on saturday with the family and got we got all seven coasters (6 for me) and many flats done by half past noon. I left to get a tire changed on the camper and the kids and wife went into the water park. The waterpark was packed as it was a saturday and 92 degrees. Only stayed for about three hours and headed back into ride some more rides. Over all the ride side was not very busy being a saturday.

We headed to Hershey PA on sunday after a quick trip to the Crayola Factory. On monday we did the chocolate factory tour and walked the Hershey Gardens. Then headed into Hershey park for their preview. Got into the park around 7:10 pm and we started counter clockwise and got all but two of their ten coasters done by 9:30 as it started to downpour.
We went back to HP on tuesday and had Breakfast in the Park with the Hershey charactors and got ERT in one section of the park. Only one coaster the Wild Mouse was on the list of ten rides. Most of the rides were kiddie rides. About ten minutes to ten I decided to leave the wife and kids and head over to Storm Runner. I was the first one in line and got front seat on the first dispatch of the day.Got off and got back in line for a short 15 min wait for the back. Met up with the family at Roller Soaker to get this one done early before it got to hot. Man do you get soaked on this coaster. Side note this coaster was my 8yr old sons 100th different coaster. Since all coasters were done and out of the way we decided to have fun and ride all the water rides.

It is now around one and water rides were getting crowed we headed off to reride the coasters we wanted and many of their flats. One ride was nice to see was the Giant Wheel (Like Sky Whirl but only two prongs). One thing that made this ride fun was you can spin the cages. We got everything done by around 7 and just relaxed the rest of the night going on what we wanted to and taking inthe sites.

Since we did not need another day at HP i talked my wife into letting me take the kids to Knoebels. Ended up just me and my son went. We had a good time but the park reminded me of a county fair. The Pheonix is a great woodie moreso in the front than the back. I felt that you got more air in the front. Twister is ok, i do like how you go around the station twice.

We packed up camp on friday and started our journey home. The wife actually agreed to a little stop at Kennywood. At first glace this park does not look like much tucked along the river and between some factorys. But once inside it is beautiful. Their coaster are fair, Exterminator is like RC but indoors and kinda dark. Makes this ride alot of fun. they also run 8 cars on it. Phantom's Revenge is a good ride just a little rough in the new section. Three great woodies in Racer,Thunderbolt and Jack Rabbit. Also got my credit on the Lil' Phantom thank to my daughter being small enough to take me and my son.

Saturday morning headed back to NW Indiana and we made a stop for lunch at Fun Spot in Angola IN. Got three more coasters in and many flats. Big disappointment was their flyers. they have a chain stopping how far you can turn them. Thir coaster need some TLC for sure. I have never been so scared on a looping coaster in my life. Pretty bad when they make you check to see if your restraints are locked not once but twice once you get to the other side.

Thank for reading,
Iggy

Whoa I thought I was the only person whos been to Fun Spot, lol. See at amusement parks whenever I get scared its just because the ride is maybe a little big, but I know I'm safe. But when at Fun Spot, you actually have true fear. Afterburner going backwards gives you some insane air though.
