7/20/04 - The days are just filled!

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Today is my wedding anniversary of 2 years! What better way to celebrate then with a great america visit which we've done every year since my wife and I have been together!

This is my first trip report so bare with me:

Rides that will not open today: Splash

We left Indiana around 6:00 a.m. soon ecountered the lovely traffic on the tollways. We arrived at SFGA at 9:00 a.m., heard the star spangled banner and entered the roped part of the park near Southwest Territory. They droped the chains and we got fastpass tickets right away and then hopped on Viper. We got the first ride on the second train of the day. We then went on Raging Bull and Giant Drop. We got some food and then went on Revoloution. Bad idea. Boy, did we feel sick.

We next went on American Eagle and then waited 90 minutes for Ragin Cajun which should be called Ragin Beating. Very different ride I must say. We loved King Chaos and Big Easy Balloons. After Big Easy Balloons, we walked by Superman and it was broken down. So we tried Iron Wolf and that was broken down. So we tried Deja Vu. Closed also! We were like "What the hell is going on?" We walked past Ragin Chaos and some of the carts were stuck with people on them.

Superman eventually opened back up but Deja Vu never did and I think Ragin Cajun went back to running normal. Iron Wolf opened as well. We left at 7:00 to beat the road construction.

It was good trip, but I really wanted to go on Deja Vu. I haven't been on since it opened. Out of 10 the trip was a 7.

The morning was good until maybe 1:00 when I noticed that lines were getting slightly longer. It was a little crowded but nothing extreme like batman being a 90 minute wait. If I had to sum up the crowd in one word it would be comfortable.

Happy wedding anniversary to you and your wife.

You haven't been on D Vu since it opened.
That hurts. So, have you been on it once or never? I feel sorry for you not able to go on it once or only once which ever it is. It is such a greeeeaaaat ride. Too bad many of the rides were broke though. Even though they were, a 7/10 isn't bad. If you want to take a spin on one of the most intense rides in the park, in my opinion Fiddler's Fling (across from Iron Wolf) is the way to go.

I haven't been on it since it opened! It was closed which really sucks because everyone gives it such rave reviews. Oh well that's life I guess. Someday I'll get on it!

It was really unusual with 4 of the coasters being at the least closed down for awhile(ragin cajun aka beating cajun, superman, iron wolf, deja vu). It made the lines longer for the other rides in the park especially Batman. We didn't get a chance to go on Fiddler's Fling. Thanks for the recomendation!

Three notes I left out on my TR are:

1. The Mr. Six stuff gets old quick. I liked the commercial and Mr. Six, but do they really need to play the annoying music and have TWO have inflatable Mr. Sixes. They also sell T-Shirt's with him on it! Mr Six is becoming overkill and will soon go the way of the "Where's the Beef?" lady. Stick with the Looney Tunes characters. They rock!

2. What is up with the Danimals advertisements in the park? They feature a purple panther/tiger in a gangsta outift. Don't everyone buy one at once!

3. The paint on Vu looks like its coming off. I thought they did some painting before the season started. Looks kinda ugly but oh well. Doesn't matter to me since I've never ridden it! :P

Sorry for the rant.

Yeah, it wasn't a bad day. I was there as well. Crowds weren't nearly as bad as the last time I was there (7/5). Bull opened with 3 trains which I thought was pretty cool. Nothing too notable otherwise, besides the cool lightning storm at the end of the night...wasn't cause for any ride closures though, luckily.
