SFGAm 7/2/04

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby The Beast on July 3rd, 2004, 12:10 pm
Got on the highway about 5:30, so we expected to be there just about 10. Instead of taking 94 we took US-41 which I think saved us a bunch of time. We were in the parking lot about 9:30.
Went in the park no problems. Checked SUF's line, it was out to the entrance of Orleans Place. So we went to Deja Vu. We had to wait for Hometown Square to open though. We got on Deja Vu, 2nd train of the day. This was first time riding it, and I thought it would be a lot more scarier, but it was a great ride. After that we headed to AE.
Of course, the station was totally empty, both sides running. I rode red first and it was good as usual. My dad and tyler (friend) decided not to ride blue with me so I rode it myself. This was my first time on blue and the helix was nuts.
After AE, it was Iron Wolf. About a 10 minute wait. This ride could be really fun if it didnt box your ears so bad. Then we went to BTR. The line was up to the storm drain so about a 20 minute wait. This was also my first time riding and it was too short. I knew it would be quick but no trims, it was really intense. Though its a bit hard for me to fall in love with BTR when I have rode Montu and Alpengeist. V2 was still down BTW.
So we walked down through Mardi Gras, and RC line was ridiculous so we didnt ride it. I didnt make any attempt to ride it the whole day.
Superman's line was still out of the entrance, so we decided to go to the car and get some drinks. It was only 11:15! I was really proud of how my gameplan worked out so far.
Back in the park everything had a long line so we rode Demon. It had about a 20 minute wait, which I didnt mind. We went into SWT, the lines werent looking too bad. My dad wanted to eat so he ate at that sit down restuarant in front of RB, I forgot its name. Tyler and I went and rode Viper while he was eating.
Viper was in top shape let me say. We got in seat 1:3 and the airtime was crazy. Then we rode RB, for a usual 20 minute wait. Sat somewhere in the middle and had a great ride. We rode again with a shorter wait in about the same spot.
After Raging Bull we went down to SUF. The line was just up to the entrance so we got in line. The line reallly sucked, especially in the zig zags. Another thing, the skanks and freaks were out in full force today. Almost as bad as Cedar Point. It ended up about a hour and a half wait. I didnt position myself very well and the ride ended up not being so comfortable. That aside it was a great ride.
It was a quarter til 4 now, and my dad told us to meet him at the car, at five. I decided to go to SWT, for another ride on RB and Viper. When we got there Viper broke down I guess. Everyone was leaving the line and they were testing it empty so we went to RB. We wait for the very back seat, which was only about a 1 train difference. Boy, was it worth it, because RB is actually forceful in the back.
We got in line for Viper, about a 30 minute wait. We sait towards the back and ride was still good. I was really impressed with Viper today because I never remember the air being this great. After that we left the park.
Yesterday was a really good day at SFGAm. I would have liked to stay longer but oh well. The first hour was awesome though, 5 coasters in a hour. Comments and questions are appreciated.
