Left at about 6:35 and got to the park at 7:45. I took some pictures of Raging Bull and Viper before getting into the park, so I didn't get in until about 8. Went over to Demon - one train wait for last car first row.
Then I headed over to AE and rode Blue in front in about 10 minutes. Trims were barely on, I noticed that Red's trims were on pretty strong. They were racing and Blue won.
Went over to Iron Wolf and got on in the back almost right away. Fun night ride... It's definitely smoother than last year. Headed back over to AE and waited one train for Red. That was pretty cool, I loved looking at the park from the top of the lift hill and top of the helix.
By the time I got off it was about 9. I headed over to Spacely's finding a pretty empty station, not surprising. Got on in the back, and stayed on for another ride in the front. I'm starting to like this ride a little more, lol.
Headed over to V2 and when I saw the line I wasn't in the mood to wait. Got in line for BTR instead. The line was moving pretty slowly and it seemed like they were only running one train. After about five minutes they added the second train. Twenty minute wait for back row. GREAT ride, that was very intense and made me really dizzy. That was really awesome.
I went back over to Demon and walked on in the fourth car. Demon is also a lot smoother, especially in the corkscrews. I then headed for RB and waited 30 minutes for the back row with two trains operating. Awesome ride.
Giant Drop was a walk on so I took a quick ride on that. Nice ride... I ran over to Ragin' Cajun only to find that the park was pretty much closing. It was 10 minutes to 11 on my watch, but whatever.
Overall it was fun but it kinda sucked. It went by too fast- it would've been better if I had gotten there 2-5 hours earlier. Plus something on my mind wouldn't go away and that was practically all I was thinking of half the time and it really bothered me. But after writing this TR I realized it was pretty fun. 10 rides in 3 hours
Then they must have taken the train off some point after I got off the ride at 8:30 and put it back on an hour later because I am positive that it was running 2 trains then.
Definitely an awesome day. My only gripe would be with Ragin' Cajun like you had experienced... we also got there at around 10:45-10:50 and the line was already roped off. Usually SFGAm is very good about keeping all the lines open until the closing time, and I expected it to stay open for this 'special' season pass event. I wouldn't have saved it for last if I would have known ahead of time... What can I say, the park has spoiled me! But really, the CAD event was overall a great time. The staff did a good job at dispatching trains, especially with the it being a longer day for them. Plus it was a nice touch having all the food and merchandise 25% off as well.
And yes, Batman is always intense. Funny, for some reason tonight, I felt this weird feeling in the back of my legs like the blood was getting pulled backed there while on the ride... which I never experienced before... good times!
Yeah, I was kinda pissed when I saw that they already roped off Ragin Cajun. Oh well, no biggie.
Usually on Batman (mainly the part between the second loop and flat spin) my feet and legs get a strong rush to them, which is kind of painful. It was really kickin' tonight, I nearly blacked out.
We rode B:TR I think 4 times back to back (after going around to beginning of line of course) and the last time which was about 8:30 we were waiting for front row and it broke down but we decided to wait anyways. We actually saw them take the 2nd train off which is very cool because I never saw them do that before. After that the line was huge in my opinion so we skipped riding again. That's cool that they got a 2nd train running so fast.
Was Vu operating for CAD? I didn't see anyone mention it in the trip reports. I don't know if that means that it wasn't operating, or just that people didn't feel like waiting for it. I would've been terribly disappointed if my favorite ride wasn't running during that special event. It sounds like it was a really cool night nonetheless. I'll have to make sure that I can get to at least one of the last two.
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.
It wasn't open. They was a crane there and they were working on the 2nd towers lift cable. It will most definatley be done for the next CAD (July 21st)

That has happened to me almost everytime I go on Batman this year, and I usually almost blackout/blackout for a second or two after that second loop this year only. Last year just doesn't compare with this year on Batman!

My guess is they originally planned on having Deja Vu open yesterday though, they had the sign about how "This ride will be closing early tonight for coasters after dark" in front of it, granted it was turned around.

I was also pretty mad they closed off Cajun's line, they must have closed it off at around 11:15. Because I went over there to ride it at 11:30. They also closed Superman's line early too. For a event that's only 2 hours, they should leave the ride lines open the whole time.

I'm guessing that you mean 10:15 and 10:30. They still let people in S:UF's queue past 10:50 because thats when I got in it, and thre were still a few people behind me.
So i'm guessing thats where you were going when I was going to Whizzer? I was going to ride Cajun too but the line was closed, which makes sense considering the line was like an hour and it was 10:30.
I think they should have posted signs that the line would close early or just left it open. It looks like I wasn't the only one who passed RC thinking, "Oh, I'll just come back near 11 p.m."
On another note... anyone else like the look SFGAm had after 9 p.m. with most of the lights off? It was cool walking down the midways then... it almost resembled the look of Fright Fest!
CoasterDude316 wrote:Yep I did mean 10:15 and 10:30 opps. You must have just got into Superman's line SFGAmOwnz, cause they closed that line about 10 minutes early.
Yeah there were only about 10 people behind me. After our train was dispatched only 2 more trains were after.

Brad I saw you right on the Mardi Gras bridge around 1030, it looked like you were on a mission. I think I saw Tom and Dave about 20 feet after Brad too. But it did annoy me that they closed off that line, because I was planning on joining it.

Yeah I was. I knew it was a stupid idea to run to Ragin' Cajun after GD considering it was about 15 minutes to 11.
I think I saw you w00dland but I'm not sure. I saw Dave and Tom a few times, I'm pretty sure they were right behind me in line for RB back row... and I also saw Brad and talked to him.
On Raging Bull, there was an empty seat next to me, and a guy who just got off asked if he could ride again and he was able to. He was acting really weird while going up the lift hill

Bleh, I was probably still pissed from the S:UF queue scuffle.
